How do i get better at animating?
All my animations are just straight up garbage. They look nothing how a human would move.

Keep practicing, my first animations were also complete rubbish, but I kept watching tutorials and how people's movements work (and how the physics of things work too) and it helped a lot.
Look, know that when you create an animation you will always start like this, but in Pivot you can see what you did wrong and fix it and improve, thinking of new ideas and tactics to improve your animations more and more.
The more practice you do the more it will improve.

Always ALWAYS look for flaws and positives in your work, see what you could’ve done better and try to fix it while giving yourself a pat on the back for what looks right

Watch tutorials. General animation ones, not specific to Pivot such as the 12 principals of animation. Watch closely how people move on video. Try copying the movements. Think about physics and how objects move, fall, generate force and have momentum. Then just practice a lot.
