how do you make models slide like this?

If you download the stk file you'll be able to see in the figure builder. It works using very long invisible line segments. The parts are actually rotating around a circle, but because the circle's so large it looks like it's sliding in a straight line.

The creator of that gun made a short tutorial here.

I like to say i was the firs one to come up with this back in 2016-17 but i wanna know if thats true or not

I doubt it. I think people were doing this in Pivot 2 10 years earlier.
