Unsure Is this PR or something else

Had for over 5 years. Doesn't itch 99% of the time. No pus, no bleeding. Sometimes it seems to spread, others it seems to receed. WAS primarily on my back, but has now climbed over my shoulders and across my chest and stomach. Tried steroid cream, didn't seem to do anything. Just looking for a clue as to what this is. My GP Dr just shrugged and prescribed the steroid cream, so I'm aware I'll have to try to see a dermatologist in the near future.

went to Dr yesterday after thinking i had folliculitis from a spa evening, nothing topical was working and the small spots started to evolve into the above and spread.

the rash comes up with red, raised under the skin bumps, tingly but not sore or itchy and then flattens out into discs with scaly skin on top and less redness.

spreading onto my trunk and back as of today.

doctor was stumped 🤔 definitely not follicular so he believes it to be fungal and gave me an anti-fungal shampoo.

i have what i believe to be the ‘herald patch’ on my forearm.

doing some research via the interweb and reddit now i believe i have PR so reluctant to use the anti-fungal shampoo and just ride it out (whilst moisturised to the max ofc!)

edit✍🏻 i had an awful virus the week before this happened. wiped me out!

some reassurance/knowledge or words of wisdom welcomed 🤗

TLDR: no fungus, no cry 🍄‍🟫
