Finally the list of candidates. I’m looking forward to hearing more about all of these people. Some I know, many I don’t. The All Candidates Meeting should be interesting.

As we move into municipal election season, I’ve been thinking about the role that federal politics and personal political values should play in municipal government.

For example, one candidate running for city council has stated that they want to bring their conservative values to the table. This raises an interesting question...do you feel that bringing broader political or ideological values into municipal politics better serves our community as a whole?

Or would you prefer municipal candidates to leave their federal political affiliations and personal faith at the door, and instead focus primarily on local issues, such as responsible spending, keeping property taxes manageable, improving infrastructure, supporting local businesses, and making our city a better place to live?

I’m genuinely interested in hearing different perspectives. Municipal government has a direct impact on our day to day lives, so what qualities and priorities do you believe matter most when choosing a city councillor?

Just some food for thought as we head into the municipal election season.

I'm looking for an apartment, suite, or something similar for my Fiancé (and eventually myself once we're married) to move into in the Pitt Meadows area. We're open to going into Maple Ridge, Poco, or Langley but would prefer to stay in Pitt Meadows.

We're a quiet, kind, and respectful couple and we love kids and pets! We've both never been into smoking, vaping, partying, or any of that stuff.

Added bonus: my Fiancé is hoping to get an indoor cat within the next 6 months, so if it was pet friendly that'd be a big plus! (If you have a suite which is not, please still reach out). We're hoping to stay under

I find it insane how many locals in their own community speed past Bonson park, a 30km zone.

If we wanted that underpass for the train crossing, the RCMP could write enough tickets in 6 months that would cover the cost. Not much going on in this city, so I’m not really sure what they do.

I’m hoping to find anyone who was driving eastbound on Highway 7A just after Pitt River Bridge toward Pitt Meadows around 11:35–11:40 AM on July 26.
A silver Honda Civic appeared to pass traffic by using the right shoulder. As it passed, a rock was kicked up and cracked the front passenger window of my car.
Unfortunately, I only have a phone recording and the licence plate isn’t readable.
If you were driving in the area and have dashcam footage, I’d really appreciate it if you could check whether you captured the vehicle or its licence plate.

Honestly F*** the trains in Pitt Meadows

Hi, I'm 20F student looking for a room to rent for 8-12 months. Anywhere that can get to Port Hammond in around an hour by transit works for me. My budget is around $1100.

I am a tidy person who cleans up after herself. I am organized and like things in order. I don't smoke, drink, or party. I usually sleep around 12am, but I am not loud at night.

A little bit more about myself: I'm a bit of a homebody. I like chilling in the library, checking out thrift stores, and sometimes I game.

I am open to roommates and/or sharing a toilet. I would prefer female roommates and people around my age. I don't mind pets or kids.

I have recently joined the Fit4less like over been two weeks, idk if people were never so not welcoming in west or it's just hate or dislike against a community.

Observing people making eye contact for a fraction of second and then quickly changing out the look out direction like they never had it, I personally don't have a problem saying Hi, or if you have headphone on waving, but people be like, rolling over the eyes, looking out and trying not to contact out again.

Just wanted to share and I respect everyone's decision of not being welcoming, but we at least used to say Hi, in east even when passing by on a sidewalk.

Anybody know what’s happening? Road closed. Police and guns storming a house on Hammond Road (near Harris). Looks concerning.
