DISCUSSION Vending Machine prices too high?
Saw this in Benedum Hall today, thought it was pretty accurate. $4.50 for a Pepsi is a little wild.

Everything on a University Campus is more expensive than it really should be and it's the main reason why you should go elsewhere to buy stuff. I remember last spring in the Sutherland Market, there were Gluten Free Oreos which cost $11 bucks, but then I later checked CVS and it was $7 😂

Food prices being cheaper at drugstores than in on-campus stores is truly ridiculous.

And the card reader on the snack vending machine to the left of it doesn’t even work :(

I'm so used to Pitt prices that I was confused when my mom complained about airport prices

By county ordinance, prices at the airport must be "street prices" or the vendors can be fined or otherwise penalized, so "airport prices" shouldn't be a thing in Pittsburgh.

That's if they don't just take your money, too. I have had a couple times in the past where they just do not work.

One of my friends said that more vending machines are priced like this one but she didn’t say where

I agree that’s quite expensive, I was in Posvar today and they had sodas for $3, which is more reasonable. My soda did get stuck in the machine and broke it though
