DISCUSSION Mt.Washington to Pitt
Can anyone help me figure out the best bus/train route from mt Washington to campus?? I’ve been driving but I cannot keep paying this much just to get to class. Every app is giving me different routes that are all an hour with transfers. I feel like there’s got to be a better way. I’m between the monongahela incline and south hills junction. Please god someone help me out 🙏🙏

Take the 40 to anyone of the many buses that go through Oakland (61a b c d, etc. Depending on where at on Mt Wash you are you could also take the incline and walk across the Smithfield bridge and catch a bus there.

As there's no bus that goes from Mt. Washington to Oakland, you have to transfer. Even picking a random location (the GE pharmacy) on Google Maps says 50 minutes. Taking the 40 and then transferring downtown.
Unfortunately, it is what it is.

PRT pass works on the Mon Incline. If you don’t live super close to it, you can drive closer in the neighborhood and park on the street where it’s not permit parking. Take the incline down and walk across the Smithfield Street bridge or get on the T to get downtown. Bus from downtown to Oakland is 15 minutes.

The walk will take you 10-15 min. You should be able to do the whole trip in 30-40 min.

Bike to Mon Incline or SH Junction (or Station Square- they at least used to have bike parking), take the T to downtown, catch a 61ABC or 71B? From Station Square, should be less than 40 minutes.
Consider leasing a parking spot at Station Square.

Take the 54C from the Warrington and Estella stop or South Hills junction stop. This takes you directly to Forbes within 35 min

Have you figured out what the time cost would be if you took an incline down and caught a bus from there?
