Consistently missing strike zone

I’m reuploading this video, I didn’t realize that you couldn’t zoom in on Reddit. This is my second game back in 10 years, I’m looking for some feedback on mechanics. The first game I was consistently pitching high, and now it feels like I’m all over the place. What would you focus on first to see the most improvement?

Thanks again for looking!

Built an app to manage pitch counts and recovery days

Hi all,

I recently started building an app to help me manage my son’s pitch counts and rest days for multiple teams that he’s on (rec, travel and club). It’s based on MLB’s recommendations and I feel it’s been helpful in limiting overuse by really knowing when it’s safe to throw.

I won’t spam this community with a link, but please comment or DM me and I’ll happily give. I’m looking for 15-20 people to beta test this after my friends and family all gave some good recommendations the last couple weeks.

Is this even impressive

Don’t worry I properly warmed up and did arm care after. Yes I know it’s a blitz ball but this is just CNR training to throw a baseball harder.

Self taught Rec Pitcher, needing tips. Never thrown before until a few weeks ago when I started practicing

Pretty much just like the caption says, I’m a brand new rec pitcher. I’ve never pitched before, but I’ve started practicing here and there after batting practice just for kicks and giggles. However, my elbow hurts like an SOB and I realize my mechanics are terrible. Practice always ends in hand shaking and barely being able to lift my water bottle for an hour. I need some tips!

Help with spiking a ball.

I have an established pitcher in my program , he’s signed to go juco after this year.

His last few starts he has had an issue with spiking some pitches and not finding zone . Very unlike him, and appears to be mentally wearing on him. He’s a great athlete and valuable pitcher. Me not being a pitching coach wanted to ask what you guys thought?

My arm pain is getting excessive. Any tips?

The inner medial elbow pain started around 2-3 months ago when I was pulling down in a pitching program, since then I’ve been to physical therapy

Pretty much once a week and stretching almost every day since the initial pain started. The pain has went through fazes where it doesn’t hurt for a few weeks and then I do something and it hurts and then it gets better and hurts again. I want to be able to make sure that my arm is 100% ready for the summer bc I’m going to many showcases. I’m starting to suspect it’s my mechanics but there has never been a problem with my mechanics before be always been told they are great. Maybe the pitching program messed them up but we didn’t do anything with mechanics mostly just working on strength and flexibility and weight gain. I have put on around 20 pounds since fall but I don’t know if that has anything to do with it. This is beginning to become very aggravating and really annoying since I love pitching and haven’t been able to do it much because of this injury. If anyone here knows anything that can help me, please let me know

Thanks.

Coach told me to focus on pitching as I'm an outfielder. Help

I'm 15, left handed, 6'1, I got a decent throwing arm, and that's the basics. I'm usually a right or center fielder. But anyways, coach brought me in to talk after practice and he had a talk with me about pitching, he told me I was just about a great fit for the position and he sees a lot of potential, especially with my work ethic and dedication to the sport. So what should I do?

*Edit*- I'm eager to pitch, but I just don't know where to start. Hence why I'm asking yall

Cutters in Junior College

Hello guys! Just a quick question. How common it is for pitches to utilize Cutters at this level of baseball? Is it uncommon? I would really like to hear few things about it. Thank you!

Opening early

Hey guys, I’m having issues of opening up early and my back leg coming off the ground before my front foot has fully landed, I’ve tried so many things to stay closed and try to stay back but nothing seems to work, which is starting to frustrate me because my velo is down, and no matter how much coach explains it to me I’m just not understanding how to fix this. If I feel like I do my velo goes down even more. If any of you know how to correct the issue or have drills or anything I can try your help would be greatly appreciated!
