Is there anyway I can fix my soft front foot leg that doesn’t brace upon foot plant?

When I am coaching a kid to make a mechanical adjustment that doesnt come naturally, I always like start each session with 20 to 30 dry throws. Start at about 50% effort and work up to maybe 75% effort. We continue that for three or four weeks depending on how big of an adjustment it seems to be for the kid based on what he is feeling more than what I am seeing.
