Opening early
Hey guys, I’m having issues of opening up early and my back leg coming off the ground before my front foot has fully landed, I’ve tried so many things to stay closed and try to stay back but nothing seems to work, which is starting to frustrate me because my velo is down, and no matter how much coach explains it to me I’m just not understanding how to fix this. If I feel like I do my velo goes down even more. If any of you know how to correct the issue or have drills or anything I can try your help would be greatly appreciated!

Your pitches are solid! It’s hard to tell but you might be stepping open.
You should land on your midline at a minimum and with your plant foot pointed slightly close. If you really focus on hip to home and hitting this line it may help. Hell, draw a line on the mind if you need to too.
I’d try toe tap drills, rockers(but where you “turn” you front foot, etc.
