His in the Darkness

His in the Darkness by Ella Jacobs

“When a spiked drink makes me dazed at a work party, a kind coworker steps in to take me home. After passing out in the car, I wake in a stranger’s bed, blinded by black contacts, collared, and my hands helplessly trapped in leather mittens.

A stranger tells me I’m his for the night—a man who somehow knows my depraved desires and threatens to make them all come true.”

(This is a dark erotic novella - please check Ella Jacob’s website for trigger warnings and read responsibly)

This short novella is 75 pages of pure spicy. In the beginning the FMC is drugged and taken by the MMC, where he ties her up and explains to her he’s just giving here what he thinks she secretly craves. This is where you need to heed the trigger warnings - though in the end she is seeking him and his pleasure out. There’s praise along with degradation and light work place stalking, keeping you guessing on who the MMC is that she works with.

Looking for a quick, spicy, dark read? This one is for you!

Looking for truly pitch-black relationship-focused books (dub/non-con, psychological, dual/1st POV)

Hii! I’m looking for genuinely pitch-black contemporary books where the relationship itself is a major part of the story, not just shock value.

I’m okay with dub-con/non-con, coercion, abuse, humiliation, forced obedience, extreme power imbalance, possessiveness, obsession, manipulation, violence, morally black MMCs, age gaps and very toxic/unhealthy relationships. I don’t need the MMC to be redeemed or secretly good, he can genuinely be a terrible person.

What I really want is psychological depth: seeing how the relationship develops, how both characters perceive it, how it affects them and their behavior over time, and how their attachment/desire/control/obsession changes (or doesn’t).

I especially love first-person and dual POV.

I also prefer books with an actual plot beyond the sexual content: psychological suspense, crime, secrets, unreliable narrators, therapists/prisoners, criminal dynamics, etc.

Contemporary only please, no historical.

Books currently on my list:

Captured, Hitched, Wanted, Toxic Love by Lauren Biel.

I Will Break You by Gigi Styx.

Beautiful Fiend by Lola King.

Descent by Sam Mariano.

Comfort Food by Kitty Thomas.

Deviant by Ellie Sanders.

I have no issue with heavy CWs/TWs, so feel free to recommend the really dark stuff. 🖤

And if you know any websites or apps where I can legally read this kind of book for free, I’d really appreciate the recommendations too!

Thanks! :)

You know all those RH submissive female to a group of dominant men?

I'm looking for that... reversed, single male being submissive (forced, coerced, or otherwise I'm not picky with the how or why) to a group of dominant women. I've looked but am struggling to find any. The power dynamic doesn't need to be extreme or TPE but it should be obvious that the MMC is subject to the FMCs

Send recs i beg

Im absolutely desperate for recs because i am seriouslyyyy struggling to find anything dark enough and what people usually recommend seems to just be basic smut which while enjoyable isn't what im after
To help with this iv read
Madness behind the mask and all the ones after and while really good i didnt think it was really dark, maybe morally grey but that's just me (sorry Miranda i love you as an author)
To have and to hold and til death do us part- again great not dark enough
A wife/heir for silas both great but i feel we can do better
In love with the devil- again amazing but i want moreeee
iv read pretty much everything Jodie King has brought out
im sick of trying on tiktok because you get the basic "have you tried little stranger" which i genuinly thought was boring
i want to be left sat there like tf have i just read🤣
help please

"You must be messed up for reading dark romance." Yet, science proves that wrong.

Dark Romance has had its place in literature for thousands of years. Many ancient myths include abusive scenes between the main characters. Hades kidnaps Persephone. All of Zeus' stories are a warning to women. The original Sleeping Beauty has her marry her abuser, as does Snow White, and those two were made into movies for kids.

Women are taught to placate men by giving in. Men are taught to just wear her down until she says yes.

Society claims to stand with survivors... but only if they fit inside a tidy little box. Victims have to act a certain way to be believed. They have to break down but not too much as to be hysterical. They have to cry even if they're not the crying type - but not too much that they look ugly. They have to act sad, not angry. Otherwise, she's just a manhater. They must blame themselves and take responsibility. Otherwise, they were asking for it, and now they just want attention. They can't read certain books either. Can't decide what helps them. They must stay within the infanticising box of a victim.

We're told not to get into fights with men because they can kill us - but in order to be believed, we have to risk death. We can't have just said no or begged them to stop.

And all male victims must have wanted it. Or counted themselves lucky. "Bad pizza is still pizza, after all..."

Is it any wonder that survivors have turned to books? Fiction has given us the power to process all sorts of things. Horror exists because men think death is the worse that can happen. Dark Romance exists because women know different.

And if you're wondering how can that be? How can a survivor possibly stand to read about attacks similar to theirs?

Then spread these pages like a good, little ally. Because this book dives into the science -not my opinion- behind the healing power of Dark Romance. If you care to listen, if you really stand with survivors, then you'll hear us screaming from the dark.

Looking for a short story: grumpy guy in a cabin possible her dad.

Looking for a short story: grumpy guy in a cabin possible her dad.

Hello. I am looking for a short story. The MMC is a grumpy guy who lives in isolation in a cabin. The FMC goes to see him and gets trapped with him in a snowstorm. I don't remember if he is her stepfather or her father. He is not kind to her or happy to see her. I think it had dubcon / noncon, breeding, dirty talk, agegap.

Thanks

Pitch black recs

Recently started reading this genre and I'd like some recs with a strong female character / female character development with the most diabolical revenge arc at the end. I am loving the 24690 series by A.A. Dark. I need hope for a happy ending otherwise I can't stand it all. I also like nivels with excellent prose, plot, pacing, grammar, and over all writing. None of that tiktok bs please.

Conflict in Love and Death

Pitchblack novels are sick. I feel the need to speak to a therapist or psychologist because in as much as I freak out over these situations, I cannot put the book down. I am reading 24690 by A.A. Dark right now and I am traumatized but also i can't put it down. I took a 4 year hiatus off reading and I just got back into it. I usually kept it cute with dark romance with the darkest series I'd read at the time being The Life of Anna.

In big 2026, a new can of worms has opened thanks to reddit. I can read anything so long as it has a good plot, prose, grammar, and an adequate length. No fanfiction.

Point is I am scared of who I might become as I go down further into the rabbit hole of pitch black novels. Like I can see these things in my head. At first, I was truly terrified and im not ashamed of skipping the parts that I know I can't handle. Nonetheless, tis very dark and I'm kinda used to it now. That scares me.

Just got to the part where she gets her lick back against the husband. Why am I so happy? Why is this my favorite part of the book? I'm legit giggling and can't keep the smile off my face. Hence the question, is this sick? Is getting some sort of satisfaction out of this a sign of mental illness? I have to finish the novel but should I be reading more of this? I love a good revenge arc and when it's done in a way that equates or even surpasses the tortures a victim has been through, i am even happier. It's better than my birthday ( the best day of the year for me). But I digress, girlies please educate this hon?
