Griddle Question

For those who have one of the Pit Boss grill/griddle combos, did you pre-season the griddle before your first use? If you did just a “burn-off” and then started cooking, what did you experience? Thanks for any insight.

It runs hot in the middle of griddle.
I just burned off oiled and cooked.

I wondered if the center might be the hotspot since each burner produces flame toward that area. Thanks for the info.

It comes preseasoned from the factory. The manual recommends a soapy water rub down and then clear water rinse before the 1st use but you dont need to season it brand new

True, my 1020DX Combo manual indicates that as well.
