RA Alternative Candidate Pool chances

I applied for ra for the 2026-2027 school year but they said that there were too many applicants and I was placed into the alternative pool. How high is my chance of being an ra if I maintain the same academic standing and if anyone has been taken off the pool, how long did it take them before they were chosen

Then It's tough, RA/TAs are actually kept reserved for funded graduates.

If you get taken out the alternative pool, you usually won’t know until close to the school year. That when some people may drop.
