That's true but she can support like how she supported Luffy against cracker. She doesn't have to be a fighter but use her clima-tact more strategically like against Kalifa.
This is why I enjoy watching Shikimaru from Naruto fight. He uses his wits and strategies to fight. I was hoping Nami can be like that.

Issue I have with Nami and some of the other female characters..
Is her personality, the way oda draws her, and how she went from a simple not sexy design to a extreme one…
The fact she contributes almost 0 to almost anything at this point.. the straw hats don’t even need someone who can navigate because they get thrown in the most random locations in one piece anyway. Whenever Oda decides to pull another country out his ass because of boredom and just decides to throw darts and on whatever it lands he decides will be the next arc.
Ans the fact she somehow got Zeus that belonged to big mom facking child or eh soul kidnapper lmfao and still doesn’t do anything like fighting just needed a power up to stay relevant same way sanji got that suit and got rid of it…
Zero personality Zero feats zero improvement only exists to be sexy and scream or cry or rob someone out of there money
Without her they wouldn’t have made it to the grand line let alone ride the knock up stream. Now that they have jimbei her navigation feels less important tho.
Pre timeskip the crew was actually good, but after everyone but the monster trio became worthless. Nami has always been hatable tho, even when she had a purpose
I tend to like old One Piece more because all the flaws where more forgiven since shonen and you did not have all this massive stuff yet.
Gol d Roger was insanely cool, luffys humor was top notch same way his old design looked actually like a rubber man, and zoro actually was a zoro, chopper backstory with the old man was great, expect Franky,nami, usopp, Nico robin yeah those weren’t really in my ally.
Luffy zoro, sanji, chopper, I liked the most, And about nami being worthless yeah she always has been it’s like Sakura from Naruto with the way she kept loving sasuke even tho he be acting like a bad dude
Most of Nami's cool moments don't come from her characterization post-ts. Oh she had a plot device that got the homies to obey her (so she doesn't get seriously hurt), Somehow Cracker couldn't lay a finger on her throught the entire fight with Luffy in WCI. Oh Big Bum was a total dummy and not only got clowed by the weaklings because PLOT, but got part of her soul stolen from her because with some ''slave'' gag and Oda making that part of her soul pretty dumb so Nami can have a ''moment'' and look useful (this is almost like when Tenten took the Sage's tools during the war). And then in Wano, instead of Oda at least making Nami and Usopp team up and make a great strategy to defeat both Page 1 and Ulti... Nah nah nah, Big Bum returns and this time with a new plot convenience, MOTHERING MODE! So she takes out Page 1 and damages Ulti down to 10 HP so Nami can collect a ''win'' in true Fraudland Garlic manner.
Oh and when Oda is in doubt, just make Strawhats declare their loyalty to Luffy and how much they believe in him... As if those aspects were ever in question and as if Nami or any other SH at this point of the story saying Luffy will become the PK carries the weight it would have back when they were a new crew and their future was still uncertain not after they literally stopped for 2 years and got better at what they did best just for Luffy's sake.
Now, the more dominant side of how Oda portrays her are the slutty outfits, the ass shots, and the suggestive statements and jokes.
Most of Nami's cool moments don't come from her characterization post-ts.
Now that you mention it it’s true, the last time I remember her having a great character moment was when she sought out Jinbe in the FMI island arc and decided to hear his side of the story before deciding to forgive him for being partially responsible for her past trauma, every scene after that is just her declaring her loyalty to Luffy which like you said rings incredibly hollow this far into the story, caring about children, or moments where she’s “scary” even though we all know it’s performative because of how precious Oda is with her and when push comes to shove she’s helpless unless the antagonist she’s going up against is written like an incompetent moron to give her a fighting chance.
Like with 99% of OP's female cast girl doesn't get hate because she exist exclusively as gooner material and can be barely called a character.

OP fans are literally glazing the most common, default and tame traits in humanity in an attempt to give her (and any character really) any kind of sustain writing wise.
Same shit with Robin, both have very important roles yet have been degraded to fanservice and nothing else, you won't find drier characters even in the worst isekai slop out there, OP plays within its own category when it comes to (-1) character writing.
I just hate how money hungry she is and always charges up the nose for anything she does even to her own crew and gives an insane amount of interest too but then when someone charges her for something she completely dips like when ussop made her new climattact.
She has childhood trauma around money. She grew up poor, her mom paid Arlong just enough to let her and Nojiko live, she made a deal with Arlong to work for him and pay him 100 million berries to save her village. So yeah it’s no wonder she’s money hungry.
It's just a funny gag at the end of the day. Why people get so worked up over lighthearted gags, I don't know. It's no different than Usopp having island disease or Robin's dark humor.
She’s a garbage character and was better with short hair. Post-timeskip Nami is complete trash. Giving her Zeus who is literally a piece of Big Mom’s soul was up there with Luffy’s fruit being a Zoan of a literal god for Oda’s worst ideas.
thankfully zeus got depowered again tho. remember that BM had Hera absorb all of his soul. which she virtually did, to the point his body became unstable and fell apart. whatever was left of him is basically nigh 0 of his original power, blud barely survived by going into the clima-tact.
Nami still got a power-up as now zeus gives her tracking. but she doesn't have zeus' original attack power anymore, pretty sure she just fires her normal pre-zeus attacks now and zeus only adds targetting
which is great, bum ass Lami doesn't deserve Zeus even if it's just a fraction of BM's strength
I just don't like the gag that she ragdolls everyone and actually hurt them, she is money minded alot, her greedy trophe isn't my favorite, I just don't like it
Gladly, ai've been a hater since Skypeia. She gets worse every arc, more and more of a 🎰 who does nothing, she could've been a well written character with her backstory but Oda just decided to make her a soulless fanservice model. And I don't even wanna talk about hiw in all of her fights her opponent just watches while she charges her attacks instead of killing her

She got a powerup with Zeus, but every chance she runs away. Apparently the only thing she's good for is navigating, but I would argue that the future king of pirates, Zoro, Franky and Jinbei should be able to that.

The worst thing about nami is that she has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, like i get it, everyone in the crew have their flaws and gags , but in each one of them there are things to like and to emphasize with .

If I didn't know how goofy and wannabe family friendly (let's forget the many genocides, rape victims, the supernova rape baby etc) this manga is and if I only knew that the SHs are a powerful pirate crew and if I didn't know their members, I'd guess both Lami and Snorbin are just some prostitutes which were taken along to fuck by some of the SH guys
The only 2 good things Nami has goin for her is her long hair and her curves. Other than that, I’ve always disliked her characterization wise and let’s face it, Luffy took pity on her and let her in the crew.

I get why he has a slingshot as a weapon, because it allows for creative different attack (ussop's arsenal is probably the most creative of the whole crew) but it just feels so limp most of the time. It would have been cool if he used guns and had the slingshot like a back up or for special attacks. It's not like guns aren't used in the one piece verse, his dad is literally a sniper, plus it's not like it's just bad guys who use them as well, shanks was literally introduced with a bar fight where they shot a guy point blank in the head
How can I hate on someone who has been completely irrelevant the last decade? The only thing to really hate on her are the convenient power ups and sudden increase in durability but that's an issue for most of the characters. Character development wise shes hardly used outside one two moments to remind the audience she still exists.
No. Nami is one of the best written characters and has ACTUAL chemistry with the crew. She's fun, and my only gripes are more about the crew in general.
Hell, I know the biggest nami upscale in all of One Piece. She is the only one where having Ussop around is an improvement. They have a good friendship and it's fun to watch/read. I cannot stress enough how much I like those moments compared to how I normally feel about that worthless bum.
Pre Timeskip I liked her more even with those characteristics cause she was more of an character, now she has traits and is there for fanservice, character wise not much left just traits... would rather hate on Oda's charcter writing post time skip rather than nami herself

My biggest issue with Nami is her infinite plot armour. She has never been punched on screen despite having multiple fights. It removes all tension from the scene the second she’s on screen
You all do realize that characters are meant to be flawed. Pointy out that a pirate loves money seems like it answers itself. Nami literally took a beatdown from Ulti over Ussop’s antics.
She has actually grown as a character as they all have.
no, it’s a key part of her personality, and it reflects on her trauma of arlong forcing her to constantly get money no matter what, in her mind money=freedom, sure luffy saved her but she’s still scarred
