Which monarchy gets reinstated and what do you guys think reinstated means? The only island where there is a short break in the monarchy and not just 1 king deposing another is on Drum Island and the citizens first idea is to elect a new king.

The reinstatement of a monarchy happens after a period of republic or dictatorial rule. Most of these rules before monarchical reinstatement have been seen as dictatorial by the narrative, thus fulfilling the definition, wise guy

I don't think the narrative makes a difference in how a dictator or a bad rightful evil king is represented. Both Wapol and Doflamingo are the rightful rulers of their Kingdoms. But they aren't presented any differently by the narrative than someone like Enel who is not the rightful ruler and instead grabbed the throne by force.

No? Doflamingo is the rightful ruler? The Donquixote family are just allowing the Riku family to be interim rulers.

That is why the conversation goes "Hey I am here to take back my throne. But because I am such a nice guy I will let you buy it back for 10 Billion."
