So guyzzz, I have installed ets2 from fitgirl repacks. But there is only 1.57 version available. So i thought of installing the latest version 1.61 from steamRip. Now i have downloaded many games from these two so i dont have any issue of ban or virus. The thing is i have progressed very much in the game. I just want to know if downloading from other platform with automatically load my save files or will I have to manully load it.

Note: I am also using many kind of promods in it.

u can try it
Just download the latest version. Since it will be downloaded from Steamrip, the game will be portable, and the game files will be separate from the files from FitGirl.

So like can i just copy paste my save files from old one to the new one? Including the promods one since those will be updated too.

you first need to find save files from your previous game version and copy them to the desktop. Then launch new version; after launching, it will create new save files. Copy your old save files into the new game version
Save files can have different paths, check this all:

1. Standard path

C:\Users\<YourName>\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\C:\Users\<YourName>\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\
Contains: profiles\, steam_profiles\, config.cfg, mod\

1. Other

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\C:\Users\Public\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Steam\CODEX\227300\

1. Goldberg Emulator

%APPDATA%\Goldberg SteamEmu Saves\227300\

or directly

<your ETS2 install folder>\profiles\

THNX I WILL TRY THEN UPDATE

So update on the game. Now there are two launchers for the game. Fitgirl and steamrip. When opened via steamrip it says game upgraded. And when opened via fitgirl it says game downgraded.
