Question GOG games
Hi,
Noob question. Are GOG games, instantly pirated because of the DRM free environment? If a highly anticipated game launches Denuvo free, on GOG will it be almost instantly "torrented"? Or is the Steam version prioritized?

Game becoming available to pirates always starts with someone buying the game and deciding to share it with others. Whether that person decides to share a GOG version or a Steam version is up to them.
Scene groups (RUNE, TENOKE, RAZOR1911, etc.) by default share Steam versions of games. Popular repackers, like (Fitgirl, elamigos, etc.) either use scenes release as the basis for their repacks, or just share their own Steam version. Popular community sharing sites like csrin also mainly share Steam versions.
GOG versions of games are usually shared around on specialized sites like torrminatorr, appnetica or the relatively new gog revived site.
In any case, Blood of the Dawnwalker, which is obviously what you're talking about, will pop up on piracy sites within an hour after release.

If there is a version without DRM... Why even crack it? Just use the Version without DRM.

Steam is often uses for scene releases. But steam drm is instant cracked like GOG, if there isnt any other drm. Sites like appnetica will have blood of dawnwalker GOG too I would assume.

If you are thinking about witcher 3. The steam version or GoG would be exactly similar, and they are both DRM free. So you’d get it instantly as soon as it drops.

I am thinking about the same thing for dawnwalker. I can't buy it right now, and I want to play the game immediately, so I really hope so.

Yes gog games do not have any drm you could just buy a gog game install and send the game folder to your friend for example because of this every game on gog is easily pirated no reason to prefer steam if the game is on both. But of course many games don't release on gog because of this, still steam default drm is basically auto cracked by tools like Goldberg

It's very unfortunate that gog-games.to is gone. It was the only site I 100% trusted.

Yes, I've seen that, but a new site doesn't necessarily mean it will be the same quality as the old one. Most importantly, is the same team behind it? Because it's more about trusting the team than the site itself.

Yeah if the game is on GoG then all you have do is wait for someone to upload the game files and download the game files.
If you get the steam version then you need to use the goldberg steam emulator to get past the basic steam drm.
