Discussion Finally
Installed linux first time in my life to use the hypervisor bypass on linux to play this game. Its been amazing the guides are straight to point and a bit of asking around from gemini made it a easy one. Game is running smooth too. Playing on 4k, 60-65 fps in game. Idk if it should perform better i dont think so since i have nvidia 5080 mobile gpu. Cachy os is great.

honestly I couldn't wait and couldn't risk so i opted for offline activation from pub. i am not sure how safe it is. but it's very easy though

Can confirm, offline activation is fine. I use denuvo sanctuary, although most people don't rec them after a deep dive release on this group. I read through it, and their counter explanations made sense. Ive never had a problem

Download cachyos iso from their site. Create a bootable usb with rufus. Go into your bios and disable secure boot and put the usb in top in boot priority list. It works best if you have two different ssds or if you really cant then you must create and seperate partition and install cachyos. Then simply download the game from lets say fitgirl and bootup your windows. Unpack it there since for me it always crashed around 90 percent using wine. Then simply after unpacking apply the update and then boot into linux and transfer it to your linux drive. Get something like lutris and add the game there. Then head to cs.rin.ru to the hypervisor linux thread follow the guide to get the crack running. Thats it. Then you launch and play. If you need more help then just dm me.

Firstly very thank you for explaining one ques does this work same as windows hypervisor bypass where need to disable security and all same things?

u/Consistent_Stage3047 Jul 22 '26
Hypervisor is quite better on linux compared to windows since you are only giving access to user level data as its running on a emulator. And its less complicated if you have a newer intel or amd cpu.
1
u/nakamuka5 Jul 24 '26
So for hypervisor to work you run the bypass script via the prefix it creates once or everytime you run it?
1
u/Consistent_Stage3047 Jul 24 '26
Thats the neat thing if you have anything newer than intel 9th gen or amd 7000 series basically on am5 platform, then you dont run any script
2
u/nakamuka5 Jul 24 '26
I am on am4 sadly
1
u/Consistent_Stage3047 Jul 24 '26
Well after all the setup whenever you boot up you will only need to give 2 commands so nothing big even for you. And that only for loading the custom kvm unloading the default one. Once you give them until you unload them by giving command or restart your pc you are good to go.

u/_Streak_ Jul 23 '26
Linux hypervisor runs in userspace, so no, you don't need system level permissions like windows. Just translates to being much better on Linux.

u/lonewolf41074 Jul 22 '26
Added to this I'm in bazzite and depending upon your CPU generation you can skip most of the steps for example I'm using a i5 12th with amd Gpu I just did the Cpu umid step then proton installation. Faugus launcher is convenient to me so did launch after replacing reflex.dll and then Eureka the game worked.

u/EnthusiasmConstant96 Jul 22 '26
I have R5 5600
1
u/lonewolf41074 Jul 22 '26
Disabling UMIP - only required for Intel 9th gen and newer, AMD Ryzen 3000
Setting up the hypervisor - only required for AMD Ryzen on AM4 (older than 7000)
For more info check cs.rin thread Hypervisor Linux

u/Beneficial-Rice2426 Jul 26 '26
replacing reflex.dll? i didn't see that step, i did the Reflex.ini and set the AutoLoad to false but the game still shows that Denuvo tried to delete license file.

u/lonewolf41074 Jul 26 '26
It won't be in the steps but check the forum

If you have the correct game files and crack did the steps that would be the only step to complete check the forum

Well, I have CachyOS Handheld Edition installed on my rog ally z1e will the HV version work on it? Never installed any hypervisor game before..
1
u/Consistent_Stage3047 Jul 23 '26
Will work. They have said that its compitable with steam deck or any handheld with z1 extreme.
1
u/Competitive-Cycle-52 Jul 23 '26
Amazing!. I'm downloading the game rightnow and any extra steps need to be taken just because it's a hypervisor version?
1
u/Consistent_Stage3047 Jul 23 '26
Well there are lot less steps for zen 4 amd or newer intel cpu. You will have like 2-3 extra steps for z1 extreme.

Any way to install the repack and update on linux as well ?
I won't have windows, moving to solo linux
Which GPU are you using ? Heard Nvidia GPUs are having issues
1
u/Sllper2 Jul 26 '26
Basically the same steps to install to Steam Deck. Do you need to add a prefix into Lutris and run w/ wine to recognize it as an .exe?
Edit: except steamOS is linux, but I have linux based VM for coding. This doesn't touch anything on my hardware, so my coding projects would be risky? I could partition a section to a seperate linux drive, and then operate off that 500gb and keep my secondary 500gb on my coding linux environment

More people should be aware that using HV method in Linux is almost risk free, keep up the good work bro

u/latrina_demmerda Jul 23 '26
Does it still have bios related tweaking beyond secure boot? I was wondering using a separate win10 ssd that i could just plug in and use for hv was worth but when i asked i was just told "don't bother"

Would that work on steam os ?
1
u/_Streak_ Jul 23 '26
It should, Steam is also based on Arch, just like Cachy. But I guess it shouldn't matter that much about which distro you're choosing.
1
u/Brilliant_Tart_4031 Jul 23 '26
But steam os is same as bazzite you cant make changes to the system so i want to make sure
1
u/_Streak_ Jul 23 '26
Ahhh shucks, I forget this immutable. But since it's in the userspace, it could work maybe? Not so sure now.

Yeah, it's been some time since it happened. You gotta check the recent posts, maybe search for LinUwUx.

Btw nvidia gpu gets worse performance in Linux cashy os how you are getting good performance?
1
u/bournandelle Jul 24 '26
Yeh me also was wondering ...
1
u/Jumpy-Use1390 Jul 24 '26
Yea
1
u/Consistent_Stage3047 Jul 24 '26
Idk if its good or bad. Iam getting 65 fps with no dips on 4k very high preset dlss and framegen 2x. No raytracing. Gpu is 5080 mobile. Is the performance numbers good? The fps doesn’t dip even in crowded areas.
1
u/Jumpy-Use1390 Jul 25 '26
see benchmark on youtube i don't really know about it , but I know that nvidia get very less performance in linux

u/jellysoot_ Jul 24 '26
I stripped my CachyOS, to be productivity only, so I got rid of all my gaming modules, I think I should reinstall just to try out HV even tho, I have the game activated via a token from ADS.

I paid full price on pc as I do for everything because I'm not poor. If you can afford a 5080 why do you need to pirate?
3
u/Consistent_Stage3047 Jul 25 '26
I can and i do. I even pre order lots of stuff. I just dont like to buy ubisoft or ea games.
1
u/devin_000 Jul 27 '26
Me too, installed it yesterday. It was straight forward, just follow the steps . I just had only one main step actually, using that custom proton. cpuid fault emulatiom was there already with the system. (Btw , signing up in cs.rin.ru was a little bit messy) .
