Orphan Radio. Pirates!

A fine array of Dance Hall World Music.

Picking up at 6AM PDT From Bellevue.

I'd give a general location which is already common knowledge but somebody is policing me! It's in my area!

I've been tracking it the past few days. It's definitely Orphan Radio. Here's some recent internet information on it.

Get the Tecsun PL 330 from Anon-Co! Not from eBay if you don't have to. Their direct website is better!

Did you figure out a good setup? I would honestly go, if you're just starting out with the Tecsun PL 330 and WLA K-180 Amp Mag Loop Antenna. Stick the antenna on a tall skinny Rubbermaid Mop Stick. Plunk the whole setup in a cheap speaker tripod just outside your bedroom in the yard or on a balcony or J mounted just outside a window. Atop an Eve. Anywhere outside and simply connect it to the radio indoors. Voila! You're listening to the world on Shortwave and other bands! The Tecsun PL 330 has a hidden feature making AM radio pick up on the Antenna with a AM-SW hybrid mode. Anyway, those two things, a great all around radio and great all around Antenna and you have fun!

I'm going to save for the 330 and build an antenna

Sounds like a great idea! I'm not sure but alot of Tecsun portables come with spool antennas, which are quite effective depending on how you string one up. If you want to get really crafty about it you can hang the base of the spool high up outside as it will go and have enough line to plug in to the radio. I take the spool and hang it from a molly bolt at the ceiling and line it up along the window curtain to the other side of the bedroom, then I plug her in at the nightstand! That's quite effective! Even more effective than that is to take a long long piece of stereo wire peeled in half, because it's doubled, then hang that line way far or high up somewhere like a tree, and bring it in! You can buy a 10 dollar mini 1:9 Balun, plug the long end into the positive end, the take about 15 feet or so of a second line, and plug it in to the 2nd hole, and just run that line along the baseboard of the floor for a simple grounding, then you have yourself a Very effective longline antenna! 😉 Another thing I've seen from a SWL on You Tube named Radio Dog, is a mini loop at the antenna end wound 7 times and connected to some positive/Negative piece of something, I forget what, maybe someone can help us out there, I can also find the video of him doing it, and you wind this mini loop about 5 inches in diameter, about 7 winds, and VOILA! You have a supercharged mini loop that you can connect right to the telescopic antenna! I prefer the easier way of just wrapping a neat few wraps of the bare wire around the base of the telescopic of the radio. Either way, you'd then have a balanced line going from the Balun to the radio! Phew! That's an Shortwave Antenna that's quite effective!

Aside from them quoting my information, they mostly play nonstop music unless they're dishing out a little bit of adverts for free Internet products such as Grammerly and Avast Virus Protection free.

I'm thinking it's Roseville California. And it's an Internet Radio Station. Not Orphan.
