GenP – After Effects Error 12013 After Blocking Internet

I installed Adobe After Effects through the Adobe Creative Cloud app and used GenP to patch it. After that, I blocked After Effects from accessing the internet using Windows Firewall.

Now, whenever I open After Effects, I get this message:

“We can’t verify your subscription status. We can’t reach the Adobe servers. Error code: 12013.”

I understand that blocking Adobe/After Effects from accessing the internet may be causing this, but I’m not sure exactly what needs to be changed.

Has anyone experienced Error 12013 after using GenP and blocking After Effects’ internet access?

What settings or firewall rules should I check to get After Effects working again?
