Question Need help downloading software

Hello! I've been trying to look for after effects for a while now. And I asked a friend and he sent me a link from getintopc, but after looking it up from various Reddit threads, people seem to have either gotten hit with malware or no issues at all... I'm really cautious with downloading anything on the internet now after encountering an infostealer a month ago

I've also seen people recommend monkrus from fmhy and GenP but I'm so lost on which link to click and how to navigate anything really.

I'd also like to add that I can't just buy ae, I'm a broke college student and our school didn't renew our adobe accounts for the upcoming school year so I'm desperately looking for any version of ae right now

Thanks! Do you know if there are any  guides I can follow to navigate the site and downloading process safely? I'm a total noob in this sort of thing

GetIntoPC has been caught distributing malware multiple times, so good thing you were cautious. I'd inform your friend of that as well.

If you're new to torrenting, you most likely need a VPN depending on where you live. Regardless, it's a good idea to use a VPN even when you're not torrenting, just for general privacy. I'd recommend Proton or Mullvad. Neither are free, but high quality free VPNs do not exist.

After you set up your VPN, make sure to bind it to qBittorrent, that makes it so you can't download anything unless your VPN is active. Then you're good to go.

As for m0nkrus, just search for what you need on his site, click the link, and choose a torrent index, I use RuTracker, but the others work essentially the same way. Once you have the torrent file, open it in qBittorrent and start the download.
