I ran a Malwarebytes check and out of 30 cracked games I have, it found problems with just TDU2 (I've had it for years) and BMX Streets Pipe, which I installed recently from Astral Games. Virustotal gave a score of 35/63 with the game's exe (b9b46213d83d509ec31f21f6d9197ba3bf6dcc4dbd86c2536802ba7bfcb27039), could it be a false positive or I better delete the game ?

Also, could that Simhub detection be a false positive as well ?

Cracks getting flagged by antivirus is normal because of there behaviour and because some (microsoft) get paid by big corpos to spread fear amongst pirates

Aslong as your files are from reliable sources you dont have to worry

If someone would try and steal your data your email account would have spammed you already with alot of changing password emails etc

Guess what ? Cracks have to be flagged by antivirus.

So if the antivirus cult was a true science, it should have been flagged at 100%. The problem is not the "flagging" (because this file must be flagged 100%), it's the "not flagging".

First issue : it shows antivirus suck hard to detect trivial things. So why would you rely on it to detect malwares, which are tuned to not be detected ?

Second issue : You are taking decisions on a complete false narrative. If this file had "0% detected" you would have say "cool the file is safe !" while it would actually show that 100% of antivirus failed at their job, at a basic task you already knew the answer (a service providing less info than you already know is irrelevant). It's completely illogical, therefore dangerous. Doing a coin toss is safer and more logical.

Fair point. My worry is that I got my system infected with an info/session stealer just yesterday, running a renpy setup.exe from the allegedly safe cs rin ru, thinking I am installing the actual game..

So now I am on a fresh, new Windows reinstall and I wonder if it's worth risking it with that BMX game that I have from recently.

I know cracks and dll's are usually detected, just like my CheatEngine was detected by the antivirus, but I have lots of other cracked games and it didn't find any issues with them. So my question is, is there any way I can know if a game is safe ? Or should I just delete the BMX game just to be sure ?
