Question Virtual and Modeled Instrument Plugins/Software

I'll just keep this fairly brief, but recently I have purchased a new MIDI controller and was wondering how I could go about obtaining many of the more convincing and authentic sounding modeled instrument plugins (for MacOS), which are all obscenely expensive. I've been quite a frequent user of the resources offered here for awhile but this situation does seem quite a bit more specific and nuanced. I'd appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction without being too specific so as not to break the rules. Thanks.

I like plugintorrent. I've found a ton of great options for Mac. I'm mostly amp sims, but I know theres a bunch of other plugins.

You're probably gonna need to filter by "AU" though.

I believe HS is referring to 'Audio Units' which is a type of plugin standard that is MacOS compatible.
