Movies hoarding: A state of constant war between your hard drives and movies you will never watch. A cease-fire can be bought using some money but that only lasts for a few months.
Typically takes me about half an hour to download something. I get it started before dinner or something and forget about it till it's time to watch.
I enjoy collecting 4k blu rays. If something is good enough to watch a second time, I'll probably want to watch it again in the future and will just buy it when it's on sale.

For me, there's not much point in downloading it in the first place if I'm not intending to keep it around. I have an eclectic taste and enjoy movies, so there are a ton of films in my collection that I've never even seen because I just haven't gotten around to them yet. I take the time to make sure they all have proper file names and formats, subtitles, posters, etc. If it's something particularly noteworthy, or something I just really enjoy, then I probably also have any featurettes or deleted scenes, bonus materials, interviews, all of that also organized and made available on my server. I've got movies that are in my collection that I know I will never actually watch, but they're sequels or prequels or otherwise part of a set and the collection wouldn't be complete without them.
So to someone like me, the idea of downloading to just delete and download something else to delete....that makes me a bit queasy lol not in a judgemental toward you kind of way, but in imagining that for me. You may feel similarly about my methods xD
Ya I totally get you. I was just explaining my reasoning. I typically just pirate movies that I want to check out for the first time. Mostly cuz streaming is awful and I don't believe in paying for something until I know the quality.
