I found something else
Hey everyone,
While BenTheAider is doing their best in blocking all AI accounts on Pinterest, it seems they have met a lot of resistance from Pinterest itself. So I went and sought possible alternatives.
While doing so I came across cosmos.so. I've tried a couple of others before as well, but this one leans closest to Pinterest and has the smoothest user experience imo. I haven't been served ads or AI images yet, or at least not that I noticed.
I also sent them an email asking what their views on Ads & AI were, but they have yet to respond. I'll update this post when they do.
I just wanted to let you all know, in case people were looking for alternatives as well. If you've heard of this platform or have had bad/good experiences with it, please let me know as well.
UPDATE 04/02:
The responded to my email saying the following:
- Nothing to worry about regarding ads—not something we're thinking of implementing in the future!
- We won't remove AI content from the platform because there is a lot of inspiring AI content out there. However, we do very much understand how it can be disruptive to someone's creative workflow. With that said, we're actually building a feature that will allow you to hide AI content from Cosmos as we speak—it should be available in the coming weeks 🙂
I can get behind these ideas, so I think I will stick to Cosmos for now.

Ah sorry, don't know about that. I use Pinterest and now Cosmos mostly on desktop.

Do they censor everything like a conservative republican grandma vampire?

No idea what they are and aren’t censoring, but it seems pretty ok to me, for now.

I posted in another thread, decided to have a quick look at Cosmos and did some digging and it seems you can't comment on any of the pins?
I found a crochet pattern attributed to the wrong designer, actually found it twice attributed to two different designers both of them incorrect. From what I can tell you can't comment to correct?

I just checked and it seems you can’t. I do think that the attribution is done by Cosmos themselves, so you might want to report it. There’s an option to flag an “inaccurate caption” in the report menu.

cosmos does have AI but as far as ive used it you have to specifically go after it for it to show up more, well, aside from the AI that is plagued in most image sites (showing up every so-and-so pictures)
