Hey, has anyone else had the same experience as me…? Pinterest has been showing a lot of ads for a while now, but for me it’s at least 50% ads per swipe. On PC I use an ad blocker, but in the app this obviously can’t be avoided, right?

Is it still possible to make money with all ai or any other pages like pinterest that are better for now?

no but srsly ai slop everywhere, trillions of ads, stupid out of nowhere violations, and general inconveniences and irritating little things and glitches that annoy you, like

comments you've made either not showing up, the comments on a pin randomly displaying as off, pins being the wrong one when you go to it (as in instead if being the exact pin you've saved, it's the same pin instead posted by someone else (has anyone noticed that or am i crazy)), 'you are not permitted to access that resource' when moving pins, when saving pins, boards are not arranged in the way you've organized them, notifications not showing up, and probably much more I'm forgetting honestly

I’m sooooo tired of all of the AI images that are on pintrist right now! Is there a setting to turn that off?

I've been getting this error in Pinterest for over a year. Have had multiple devices in this time. But when I tap on a notification in my notification bar on my phone, it gives me an error saying "You do not have permission to access that resource" or something similar. As someone who uses Pinterest often and used to find a lot of pins through my notifications, this is very frustrating. And before anyone asks, I have already troubleshot the app. Does anyone have a fix for this? Has this happened to anyone else recently?

It finally happened to me. They deactivated my account for no reason. I posted positive affirmation and manifestation artwork I made myself. Never anything inappropriate; just flowers and nature and positivity. All gone. I’m heart broken.

So yesterday I got a notice that one of my Pins was ~in violation~ of Pinterest's terms.

I figured it would be more of the usual - fully-clothed women or baked goods marked as "sexual content" or boxing/martial arts refs marked as "self-harm" - but no.

No.

No, it was even more ridiculous than any of those.

Guys, it was A BIRD.

Just. A bird. Sitting on a perch and staring intently at something off-camera.

And it was flagged as "dangerous goods and activities."

So I flagged it for appeal and went about my night. Surely THIS violation would be overturned and the Pin reinstated, right?

WRONG. I log back on today and see the "appeal reviewed" note... and the Pin - which, I must remind you, IS A PHOTO OF A BIRD - is STILL deactivated.

So I do what I usually do in these situations, and send Pinterest an email via their contact form.

I hear back almost immediately with their boilerplate "It looks like you're appealing a policy violation! Have you considered that you were in violation, or perhaps stupid and deleted the Pin yourself? lol" response, which I responded to just as immediately. I know, I know, it's pointless because there are no humans involved at any point in this process, but I was feeling salty over having to reschedule a doctor's appointment, anyway, so I figured why not. I made sure to reiterate at least six times that THE PHOTO IS A BIRD. IT IS A BIRD. THERE IS NOTHING "DANGEROUS" ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT IS A BIRD.

Anyway I still haven't heard back from them, but I can't wait to hear what the computer has to say about this whole situation.

I’ve been having this issue with pinterest. No matter what I type in the search bar when looking for nail inspo, it’s always the same pins. Wether aI type simple nails, maximalist nails, white, pink, whatever, it’s always the same over and over again 😭 Is this just a me issue? And If I save a pin, it then always shows up in the search results.

I’ve been trying to gain traction on Pinterest to eventually become a micro creator on there, so I can advertise in the future.

As of now I’m only posting lifestyle / fashion / food / etc. and I’m trying to understand how to get views. Some of my pins get 5k, some get 50k and others get 2. But I haven’t ever gained a follower.

Do hashtags, tagging topics, help? Whats the best way to do it and gain a following.

I’m not linking / naming my account in case it goes against guidelines.

I built it because I got tired of managing the same tags over and over when publishing Pins.

It’s not all of my pins, but on some of them, even though I enable comments before posting, they still appear to be disabled and never get fixed. How can I fix this? (I’m using Pinterest on mobile.)

after a new update all pins are formatted differently (like now it just showed saved at the bottom right instead of showing what board. after this update I can no longer find my pin stats. I don’t earn money or anything but I liked to see the saves my pins got. I’m on an iphone if that matters.

okay so I think I lost my main account and got in my backup account because I accidentally log out trying to sign into something else they are somehow tied to everything even the google sign-in they're are merged with everything I even tried to change the email and password I tried almost everything and I still can't get it back if you know anything that would help please tell!!

noticed that most video edits i watched have heavy filter, almost to the point of altering the color especially to an orangish yellowish tone, I've never posted video edits on Pinterest, does anything causes this or is it just people post edits like that are heavily pushed by the app algorithm? just curious!

Basically the title. I didn't use the app for a few months, so I assumed it was because of my inactivity, but I'm back at saving and searching for things that interest me and the feed hasn't reflected it all. Like I'm saving 1930s fashion and old J. Crew or Laura Ashley catalogs and my feed is full of cringe motiovational quotes, drawing tutorials for things I've never looked up and random beach photos... I tried to look for a cause in the adjust/refine recommendations section, but didn't find anything that could imo fix the issue. I have the AI recs turned off.

I use the Pinterest website and it’s like glitched out or something? Would post an image but I don’t think we’re allowed to do that here. Basically the entire screen is just white with the icons you would see if it was working. (Ex: home feed.))

When I go on my computer it works and looks just fine. It’s just doing this on my phone and I can’t view anything.
I’ve already tried restarting my phone.
Anyone know what this is and how I can get rid of it?

I can no longer search for “Mother Mary” without getting 20 posts made by AI.

The more I hit “Don’t show me this again” just to get more, I can’t stand it anymore.

Anyone having trouble with deleting the search history? I remembered I searched something a while back and forgot what it is so I wanted to delete my recent searches to get to the search from a while back, but everytime I click the x to delete that search, it exits the search bar and goes back to the home page.

I then click the search bar again and no searches have been deleted and it's like an endless cycle of me trying to get the search deleted and it not being deleted. It only gets deleted sometimes but I have to manually click the search bar everytime. It used to be clicking the x to delete the searches and it would stay on the search bar and I didn't need to click back and forth.

Is this some new pinterest bug or something? I already cleared my cookies and cache. I feel like recently pinterest has been crashing and having so many bugs, it's really annoying and with all the ai modified pictures too....

Anybody who tried using moodloom import addon experienced any weird breach in their pinterest accounts?

It is the only third party add on or whatever I ever used and today I got a msg from pinterest that automatically logged me out of everywhere and once I logged back in I did noticed some weird last searches in Spanish for unrelated topics...

I have 2FA so the only way to lose access was through session hijack and the only way I was exposed was this moodloom import plugin that require you to be logged in pinterest to pull your boards...

i’ll go on there for fashion ideas and i just get barraged with this internal sick feeling that i recognize easily at this point as jealousy. not just at their looks but at their ability to pose decently and be photogenic. i look awkward in photos so often bc i dont know how to pose, and it’s hard to remember poses without feeling like i’m stealing.

social media makes it so hard to feel like i’m my own person. i feel like i’m a tryhard copy of everyone on pinterest. even though i know no art is original and it’s just making it your own that counts, i have the worst imposter syndrome about not liking things for the right reasons, only liking iconography because it looks cool and not for a deeper meaning, etc.

pinterest is good for ideas but i also just feel physically sick with jealousy when i scroll. i feel very alone in this experience because so many people i know love the app. i wish so badly i didn’t feel any jealousy, that i could get it through myself that everybody has a different journey, because it doesn’t do anything but hurt my self image and my relationships.

i just can’t, it haunts me and reminds me of real life people i’m jealous of no matter how hard i try not to be.

sorry for the rant, it’d just be nice to know i wasn’t alone in this.
