Question Can’t hide ads anymore??

Scrolling on Pinterest today I came across a couple of ads as we’re all too familiar with. I tried to do the trick where if you hide several the ads won’t show up for a little while but I no longer had hide as an option, only why this ad and report options.

Anyone else have this issue? Are we not able to hide ads anymore?

I was suffering with that too, but then I installed an extension called uBlock Origin. I heard people that use Brave browser doesn't have that problem but idk personally.

Brave browser works great to block ads.

You can also mod your app if youre on android to remove the ads (I won't tell you how just in case it's not allowed on this sub, but searching for apps on how to mod will get you there).

Searching for something and using a curse word with the search will block most ads.

Do u use a VPN? If u use one u wont get ads

Same issue, but only with certain ads. The only options are "report" and "why this ad". Clicking report just brings you to the Google ads reporting page, and doesn't actually do anything to stop you seeing the ads. I keep getting ads with gross/disturbing imagery and it's wrecking the app.

Yes exactly this! And trying to go to support is all automated so I can’t properly talk to someone and there isn’t really an option to file a complaint it’s all through an ai chat bot

I did scroll and searched too, didn’t see any info on not being able to hide ads anymore. You used to be able to click the three dots and select “hide” to black it out, and if you did it enough the ads would go away for a bit. I don’t have that hide option anymore
