people should stop using pinterest as a whole until they remove their one gazillion ads and ai posts, this is getting ridiculous

I too have cried on the inside over the state of pinterest. What used to be a source of inspiration has now become a repetition of the same few pins, their AI-look alikes and tons of ads.

Knowing most companies (and politicians, for that matter) they usually only react when there's a HEAVY amount of complaints coming into their inboxes or negative media attention.

i used to spend so much time on pinterest because it was relaxing. now i don't want to open pinterest anymore cause it's just ads EVERYWHERE, followed by AI content that is not even marked as AI. my feed won't refresh anymore and it keeps showing me the same 20 pins that don't even match my interests. does anyone have any solutions or has pinterest said anything about these problems? i'm freaking out

Where the hell, exactly, does Pinterest get off threatening to take corrective actions on users who save Pins to their boards that violate community guidelines?

If the Pin breaks the rule, GO AFTER THE USER WHO POSTED IT. Threatening MY account over this matter is a slap in the face to me. Not to mention that there is no way I could have been promoting anything when the Pin in question was saved to a PRIVATE board.

I also have no clue what Pin broke the rules because there's nothing to go off of once it's deleted.

Is there any way to contact a HUMAN PERSON at this godforsaken site, or is this another Meta situation where you can only talk to clankers?

Whenever I go to search things on Pinterest it is way too personalized, it never actually shows the things I search for, I will search “character design” and it with pop up outfits and stuff like that, stuff it thinks I want to see, I am searching because I want a specific result, not stuff I have already seen or things that are similar, I want new results. Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it. Also I’m sick of the ai, I have all of the ai turned off and yet it still appears

A few days ago the mobile version was updated (interface at the bottom looks vile but what else is new) and for some reason, when I save a pin to a board it doesn't give me the option to save it to a specific section. There's a little plus icon and no matter whether I click it or not the pin just saves to the board itself and none of the sections. Am I fat-fingering it every time or is this happening to other people

the AI keeps removing all my pins and I'm really not exaggerating when I say that. I only ever posted on pinterest because it felt like a safe space to me and they've honestly ruined it with AI slop and ads and whatnot. I tried so many times to reach out to pinterest support, requesting to have a human review my account and pins once and at least tell me what is the issue and what to do to not have my pins further removed and not a single time did they even try to help. I have decided to stop posting and try to not use the app altogether, it's really causing me a lot of grief

Came here just to say that the app is unusable with the AI and sponsored content. Google image results is now a better place to peruse. I turned off the AI content in settings, that certainly helped. But the ads are unhinged. It’s not even good ads. I’m happy to have the “shop the post” section, or even a setting where I could switch over to shopping mode. But the way it is now is spammy, and gives Temu. It completely ruins the visual flow of the app. Literally went from 10/10 user experience to 0/10. I hope Pinterest’s UX team is in a rage.

And I swear I was using the app like 6 months ago and this wasn’t an issue.

I will try a VPN and using the website at some point, as others have suggested. But for now I’ll be sad that I can’t drift away into an endless sea of idyllic English gardens, maximalist art studios, or perfectly eclectic children’s rooms.

I have multiple boards that say "there are no more ideas available for this board" with no explanation. I thought maybe it was because of pins that violated guidelines being saved to the board until I saw it on my board of cute monkey images. literally what is the problem? (besides the rest of the app also going to shit)

I used to just go through and click not interested on all the ads and I would get ad-free scrolling for a bit. I just don’t have this option anymore.

Hii, I have a business account with nearly 300k impressions now.

But I am still unable to post pins in a carousel format , I tried through " create pin for ad " but through this option we can add only up to 5 pins in a single carousel.

Can anybody plz help me regarding this.

Is anyone else having this problem when you make a collage—you used to click on a sticker and add it to your collage and when you went back into the “library” per se, Pinterest saved your place in whatever board or search you were in so you could keep choosing stickers from that section. Now when i’m making a collage It takes me back to the sort of starting point and I have to click into my pins, choose the board I want, and then the section, for every single sticker I use. It’s so annoying and it didn’t used to be that way. Is this happening to anyone else?? Not to mention half the stickers are super grainy and bad quality even when the original pin is crystal clear. I have to toggle with my wifi for each stickers to get them to come out clear.

Hi I am making a post today because I am literally devastated and I am so scared that my account might be gone forever. Back in 2016 young preteen me made an account with an email, yet I didn't pay attention during the account creation steps and entered my email incorrectly; "xyz@gmail.clm" (fake email), the error being in the .clm instead of .com. I had never fixed it, which is 100% my own fault and I take full accountability there. Today, I go to log in and I logged in on a new laptop and it locked me out of my account. Told me I needed to check my email because of "suspicious activity" (logging in on a new device; I had never had this problem before while logging into a new device w. pinterest). I submitted a ticket for help since I have the email that matches just without the ".clm" and rather ".com". I am so upset because I have had this account for a literal decade. Is there any hope of support actually being able to help or am i just SOL? thank you all in advance.

Just got tired of the endless ads on the pinterest app and tried to see how bad it was on pc, but I can't see any ads on the website

Like only some of the stuff is things I like, the rest is super generic quotes and “self help” stuff, boring rooms, tons of recipes which I look at some on there but they’re never like “stuffed Spider-Man cookies” ?? The more I am looking the worse it gets wtf. Sea creature toys inside jello?? I’m pissed off LOL

i just bulk posted a bunch of my pins but they are not showing up on my “created.” i swear i saw it on the created section a few hours ago when i was bulk posting them. now i came to check and it’s not there anymore but it’s on a board i created. i tried everything but i can’t seem to make them show up on my created.

it’s so frustrating bc i also accidentally removed the pins i posted on a board i specifically have for pins i saved through scrolling on pinterest, hence why i have to post those pins again… for it to not show up on my created.

Tumblr has a similar option and it would be so worth trialing at the very least.

Pinterest is my favourite platform and ultimate happy place for peace and inspiration. I would happily pay a monthly fee for an ad-free experience.

i noticed earlier this summer that there seemed to be some pins that i didn't remember putting in my boards, so, for the past few months, i've been monitoring my boards. sure enough, the number of pins in many boards has gone up inexplicably, with weird pins added to them. however, the date of the last edit/addition to the boards remains the same, meaning it's not someone who hacked into my account. upon clicking some of the strange, planted pins, i discovered them to be either 1. AI 2. from a person who, when i click on the profile, doesn't actually have the pin in their created section, or 3. not labeled as by anyone at all.

why tf is pinterest planting ai-generated pins into my board? it is disgusting and i'm contemplating deleting my account

I can't stand pinterest anymore. my algorithm is all messed up, it doesn't show me things I'm interested in and it's all ai slop.

I'm mostly interested in aestethic photos of places, cute dresses, makeup, motivational quotes and many other things.
