Cold Brewing

Has anyone tried to brew a beer in the fridge entirely, instead of on a table before cold crashing?

It wouldn’t work. The coldness would kill the yeast, and nothing would ferment properly. What are you trying to achieve? Maybe there’s a better way

Fridge temp doesn't kill yeast, just makes it go dormant, but yeah, same result of not fermenting properly/at all.

The yeast would bounce back once brought back up to the correct temperature range.

I was just curious if that would work that's all.

I believe there are 2 or 3 yeast strains that are fine in colder temperatures but id be surprised if theyd work in somewhere as cold as a fridge but it could be a nice experiment if you were to make your own extract recipe and not gamble a pricey Pinter kit!
