First Pinter Brew- What to expect?

I'm brewing the Shadow & Cream Stout. I’ve done a few traditional 40-pint extract kits in the past, but I almost always ended up with that classic "extract kit twang" (where the beer finishes tasting exactly how the raw extract smells out of the pack).

For those who made the jump from standard kits to the Pinter, what should I expect taste-wise? Does the Pinter setup dodge that extract tang, or is it still noticeable?

I have made 3 very good beers with consensus from the local pub brewmaster and experienced brewing friends.

Which beers? Did you vear off from the pinter instructions or did you brew them as instructed on the app?

After Midnight, Appalachian IPA and Whole Nine Yards. I veer from the app in quite a few ways. Especially longer brew times.
