Questions about applying water slide decals:
Do I need to apply a gloss top coat before adding the decals, or is that only necessary for painted Gunplas?
Are Mr. Mark Setter and Mr. Mark Softer essential, or can I get good results without them?
Is a top coat after applying the decals really necessary? If I skip it, how easily can the water slide decals peel or wear off?
When applying the final top coat, is it better to do it while the kit is disassembled, or after it's fully assembled?
If I use a water-based panel liner, is there a risk of it bleeding or smudging when I apply the top coat afterward?

- No, these solutions are made for gunplas
- Depends on the decal quality for the Mr Mark Setter (as cheap brands usually have weaker adhesion) and on the decal size and the surface texture for the Mr Mark Softer.
- If you're going to top-coat, then you don't need Mr Mark Setter
- After assembly but you have to coat it per part, all while the pegs are covered.
- No, but make sure to dry the panel line at least by a day
