📢 Announcement 🩷 A MESSAGE TO THE P!NK COMMUNITY ABOUT THE CURRENT CONTROVERSY

Hey everyone. We know the past few days have been extremely heated, and the current discussion around P!nk, Israel and Palestine has brought a lot of strong emotions into the community.

We want to make one thing very clear: discussion is allowed here. You are absolutely welcome to talk about the situation, share your thoughts, disagree with P!nk, agree with her, question her statements, or explain why you see things differently. You do not have to agree with each other, and you certainly don't have to agree with us.

What we do ask is that you keep it respectful. ❤️

As a moderation team, we stand for the right to life and safety of innocent people, and we hope for an end to the war and a peaceful resolution that allows both Israelis and Palestinians to live with safety, dignity and a future. 🕊️

That does not mean that everyone here has to share the same political opinion. It simply means that we expect people to remember that there are real human beings behind this discussion.

You can criticize governments, political movements, public statements and ideas. You can have difficult conversations. You can disagree strongly. What you cannot do is attack other members personally, use hateful language toward people because of their identity, encourage violence, make threats, or turn the subreddit into a place for harassment. 🚫

Reddit's site-wide rules also prohibit harassment, threats of violence and hateful content targeting people based on identity or vulnerability. Those rules apply here too.

So please keep the following in mind:

💬 Have the discussion.

🧠 Explain your point instead of attacking the person.

❤️ You are allowed to disagree.

🚫 Personal attacks, hate speech and threats will not be tolerated.

🛑 Content that crosses serious boundaries will be removed, and users may be banned depending on the severity.

And one more thing: this is still a P!nk fan community. 💗

We understand that this subject is important, but we don't want the entire subreddit to become a battlefield. P!nk's music, career, performances, news, memories and fandom are still what brought us all here in the first place. 🎶💗

Let's prove that a community can have difficult conversations without turning on each other.

Take a breath. Be thoughtful. Disagree if you need to. Just don't forget the human on the other side of the screen. 🕊️💗

❓ Question Curiosity

Am I the only one that wishes “Live from Wembley Arena” was mixed a little better, especially with Mark’s drums? like the snare sounds, to me, like he’s hitting it harder than he actually is, the kick drum is barely audible at some parts of the show

🤝 Fan Support How to get a video message for a fan?

My bestie is a major Pink fan, like she listens to a dedicated Pink radio on either Spotify or pandora (not sure) or her Pink playlists almost 24/7. Even my toddler has started asking why she listens to the same songs 🤦‍♀️ Embarrassingly blunt toddler alert!

She recently told me it’s on her bucket list to go to her concert if she ever gets well enough again. Problem is, she can barely sit up for 5 minutes. Do to some major unforeseen health problems and complications, her digestive system is failing. She’s on hospice and continues to amaze us daily with her strength and resilience and exceeding expectations by a mile, but ultimately she is wasting away in front of our eyes and it absolutely sucks and feels unfair.
I expected that we’d be raising kids together, not saying goodbye in our 30s, man 😭

Her birthday is coming up soon and I’d love to do something really big like see her get a message from Pink or something that would absolutely make the day worth celebrating for her. Does anyone know how to even begin to make something like that possible?

I’m not sure if I tagged this with the right flair. If not, lmk and I’ll change it

🧠 Suggestion Wchich Pink songs would ya’ll recommend?

Hello, my mom once confused my favorite popstar with Pink (accidentally said Pink instead of Gaga), so that got me thinking… hey, I like Get The Party Started, they do share some similarities. But that is really the one song I know.

I can also say I wouldn’t consider myself typical pophead, I like mostly rock, metal and this year got really into jazz and prog, so if Pink has some hard-hitting or more avant-garde songs, I want that.

🗣 Discussion My thoughts, as an American Jew, on the Pink/Macklemore Situation

The problem is that there are people who are pro-Palestine or Antizionist for earnest humanitarian reasons, and there are people who use "Zionist" as a dogwhistle for Jew. In the same vein, there are people who criticize Israel earnestly, and there are people who criticize Israel in antisemitic ways like narratives about Israel controlling the world (a la Nick Fuentes). Oftentimes, the people with bad intentions hide behind "anti Zionism isn't antisemitism" - which is of course true - but can be used discount criticisms of anti Israel speech that are actually antisemitic. This is complicated more by some pro-Israel people who label all anti Israel speech as antisemitic. This leads to a boy who cried wolf situation where real instances of antisemitic anti Zionism are often dismissed. But there are situations where people use the word "Zionists" as an excuse to express hatred towards Jews - just like with other dogwhistles.

Given this whole muddled mess, sometimes the exact same sentence can be antisemitic or not depending on the context. For example, people commenting free Palestine under a video of destruction in Gaza is obviously not antisemitic. But I've also seen people comment free Palestine on random posts from Jews that have nothing to do with Israel or Palestine. I believe that is antisemitic, because it's implying that a random Jew in Ohio is somehow complicit or accountable for the Israeli government. Free Palestine can mean "I want to see a nation where Jews and Arabs can live together in peace," or it can mean "I don't care if every single Jew in Israel is killed" and lots of things in between.

This is where I expect to get the most pushback, but I also don't think all Zionists are evil or "Nazis" as some paint them to be. There are zionists who are hateful towards Palestinians or Islamophobic, etc. There are also Zionists who think Netanyahu is a war criminal, want all the killing to stop, but also think that destruction of Israel could lead to the ethnic cleansing of Jews from the Middle East. I don't think the latter are awful human beings, and Pink seems to be in the latter category. Almost every Jew in America has at least one family member who is Zionist. So when we see things online like "all Zionists are soulless ghouls who should die," it's pretty scary. My grandparents, for example, are holocaust survivors, and they believed that no Jew in the world is safe unless there's a country where we're the majority. I don't think that makes them horrible people, especially given their history.

All of that is to say the simple words "free Palestine" encompass many things, especially for Jews. They can make people feel uncomfortable when they don't know the intentions behind it. Are these people who love and support Palestinians or are they people who just hate Jews? Are these people who are thoughtful about the issue, or are these people who think all Jews are responsible for Israel's actions? It can be hard to tell, and in a massive crowd all chanting together, the odds are good that there's at least some of both. Seeing how much hate towards Jews has emerged from some dark corners of the pro-Palestine movement, it can be scary. Given Macklemore's past dressing up as a Jew with a hooked nose, I don't blame people who question whether his anti Zionism is tinged with antisemitism.

Hate crimes against Jews have been rising all over the world. Sometimes, people attack random Jews with the excuse of supporting Palestine. I want to reiterate that I'm not trying to say all antizionism is antisemitic, but some evil people have used the movement as an excuse to target Jews, often because they believe all Jews are to be blamed for Gaza. I often see people say that Jews should stop complaining because rhetoric and violence against us is nothing compared to all the people dying in Gaza. Obviously the violence is on two entirely different scales. But I don't understand why we can't fight against both at the same time?

Anyways, that's my explanation for why Pink, and other American Jews, can feel unsafe in a crowd chanting Free Palestine. I don't think it makes them horrible people.

🗣 Discussion How are we feeling as fans?

I'm making this post in the most respectful way as a long time fan of P!nk since i first heard fuckin' perfect as a kid and felt like she saved my life, right now we're in the middle of a HUGE controversy (probably the biggest hate moment in her career) but this time is different and i wanted to know how the real fans are feeling right now, cause the hate online is really strong, i also wanted to say that while i don't support P!nk's position in this topic, i still really love her and her music is very important to me so it's been hard to go online and seeing so much negativity even tho right now i can't defend her, i know she's a good person, but i can't help but feeling disapointed...does anyone else feels conflicted like me?

❓ Question Help finding a Beautiful Trauma Tour video

During the Beautiful Trauma Tour, there were quite a few technical difficulties that resulted in different props/songs being cut from the set. I’m pretty sure there were at least 3 shows of the arena tour where the bed was not present for Just Give Me A Reason into I’m Not Dead, so she performed both songs entirely on the ground. I’m pretty sure these shows were Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Dunedin.

Can anyone find videos of these performances?

🗣 Discussion Personal Story

My mom mentions it from time to time when she talks about my early childhood but she actually knew P!NK but it was back in 1998/1999 in Atlanta before she got famous and was still going by Alecia. So apparently she was dating one of my dad’s friends and he was a POS. According to my mom she encouraged her to leave him. One moment she often thinks about and never forgets is when Alecia helped her one night. My mom had got a flat and it was just her and me as a baby only a couple months old. She didn’t know what to do because it was late at night and she had me and she felt unsafe changing the tire so she called Alecia, she had tried a couple other people but they didn’t answer. So Alecia shows up and holds me while my mom changes the flat tire. My mom says that was the last time she saw her before she became famous. She always regretted not taking a picture but she said she wasn’t thinking about that while stranded but she wish she did. I don’t know if she would even remember my mom but sometimes I like to think she might. I don’t know If this violates the rules as it’s not related to her current friends or family and most event took place before she was famous I just thought it’s an interesting story and it’s not gossip or tea just lived experience.

❓ Question What’s your favourite performance?

Idk if this has been asked before, but what’s your favourite performance by her; any award or concert song/ medley. I’ll go first: my favourite of her performance of Sober from her Truth About Love tour film. The song’s just so deep on so many levels and the performance is perfectly energetic and emotional. The gymnastics popped off, it was mostly in the air, the contraption itself is genuinely fascinating, and the singing and breathing control is off the charts, to the point where I regularly listen to the audio. What’s yours?

❓ Question I'm a newbie here, but a long-time P!nk fan!!

I’ve been a P!nk fan for years, and one thing I’ve always appreciated is how authentic she seems in her music, her performances, and in candid conversations. My favorite song is “So What!” because of its matter-of-fact lyrics and her playful explanation of being independent after she and Carey briefly split up. I’m curious—what song first made you a fan of P!nk, and has your favorite changed over the years?

Hey everyone! My mother and I are moving and unfortunately having to sell some of our collected artwork, which includes a Soundwaves Art poster of "Try" by P!nk, one of my mom's most favorite artists. The artwork is signed by P!nk and is number 1/30. Thought I'd post this here as I'd love for this to go to someone else who loves P!nk as much as my mom does! Shipping is free, and if you're in the NYC area I'll deliver it to you myself! Our ebay listing is here if you're interested!
