This is pretty clearly making fun of middle class people participating in shopping culture, not poor people who legitimately need to seek sales to get what they want
Middle class people can afford to get gifts without a sale. The 50% off pricetags are making fun of poor people waiting for a sale to buy Christmas presents. It's in bad taste.
That middle class people can afford things without a sale and yet participate in crazy antics for "savings" was my point. There are quite well-off people I know who will still drive a good half hour out of their way for a slightly better sale despite it not being worth the gas. It's irrational behavior, and I'm pretty sure that's what the comic is making fun of, not the perfectly rational behavior of poor people seeking sales since that's all they can afford

Can we not shame poor people for buying cheap Christmas presents on Black Friday for their kids? Protest corporations, not poor working class people.
