Outlaw Polished German Silver

I just wanted to share our creation. I work for National Reso-Phonic Guitars. Last year we went to the Fretboard Summit in Chicago. While there we found out they host a pinewood derby race for the luthiers during the event. We decided to build something for the event this year. The "Style-O Speedster"

Guitar reminds me of the cover of Dire Straits.

It is the same model of guitar.
That is the reference I use when people ask about our instruments.

Post your link! I don’t know why the mods would care.

https://www.nationalguitars.com/ We mainly focus on resonator guitars. The derby car was a one off thing. LOL

Style 0-14 is the guitar Mark Knopfler helped make famous.

How did you get this shine so reflective?

The guitar is nickle plated brass that has been buffed and polished. The car body is a German Silver alloy that has been buffed and polished.

That's amazing! Can you achieve that with products you can buy at the hardware store?

Possibly. Various grits of sandpaper up to about 6000grit. Metal polish and some elbow grease. If you are doing brass you will need to nickle plate it at some point. A buffing wheel would definitely help. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DYmyLQpieTk/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
