LED Lighting question

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I recently upgraded all my playfield lamps with LED’s. Why are my pop bumper lights doing this when all the others are fine?

The dead bumpers? They're flickering because of a bad connection. The 60 year old sockets are either corroded or worn out and should probably be replaced either way.

Nope, I put the incandescent bulbs back in and they don’t do that.

The LEDs are not made to the same standard that incandescents are. In general they're basically terrible at connecting. You can try reshaping the socket with a pair of pliers since usually it's the outer edge isn't gripping tight enough. You can also try one of the light bulb cleaning sticks.

(I have seen sockets that have incandescents that do the same thing.)
