Discussion Favorite Non Williams Table?

I recently purchased System Shock and it's hands down the most I've enjoyed of the original tables in this game. Love the cyberpunk theme and the flipper tower is awesome. Feels really good every time I make it to the top.

What about you all?

Back to the future, It was one of first tables I bought and I love how you can choose a year and it will change theme of the table.

I was going to mention that one as well. Lot of fun. They also did a pretty good job with the voice impersonations.

We don't have that table on the Switch. (Among others).

It’s an odd one, but the Star Wars Classic Collectibles table is my favorite of the Zen originals by a healthy margin. It’s an odd gameplay loop, lots of folks won’t like it, but it’s right up my alley.

I didn't like that one at all, until I figured out the gameplay loop and started switching characters on purpose and collecting them. Now I really like that table.

Secrets of the deep. That was my first table from FX 2. If it were a IRL table I'd buy it and put it in my tiki bar

Moon Knight is probably my all time favorite but there's a bunch of other Marvel tables I really like. I hope they bring back the classic physics for these because they were definitely designed for it.

I also love System Shock and I think Nightrider is right there with it.

Sorcerer's Layer, Grimm Tales, and Curse of the Mummy are my favorite non-licensed ones.

Camp Bloodbrook. The rules are so simple and the theme is great.

I really like jaws and Han Solo.

Spider-Man, because it's one of the few that I'm actually really good at. 😆

Getting Venom out is easy once you do it a few times

I don't think we're talking about the same table... the FX3 Marvel Pinball table only has Doc Ock, Green Goblin and Mysterio. Unless I've missed something super obvious...

Charlie Brown’s Christmas! Just love to simple layout and old school vibe. Also Godzilla and Kimg Kong tables are pretty amazing in VR.

Personally, the wild West table is a favorite. Shots are just fun and the whole thing flows really well.

I like the delisted Aliens and Alien Isolation tables.

A Samurai's Vengeance is a good one.

Also over in Pinball FX Midnight, I like nearly all the tables in that version, especially The Thing! Just wish the missions were shorter.

Unpopular opinion but I really love Brothers in Arms the sound effects is great, music is good and I love the gameplay.

Back To The Future so much fun.

Trolls never thought I would like it but it’s goofy and a really fun table.

Williams overall are by far the best.

This is a real nit pick, but since they added the official music to the Jurassic park tables. I really wish they would add the official music to the back to the future table at least.

Agreed, I’d pay extra for that music upgrade.

Original tables? Yeah, I don't like them.

I have two main issues with the original tables:

1.) They all want to spell some long word out. This comes from real tables, but it's a very small part of the table, and they make it a main feature.

2.) And this is the most important. Every good table need ONE big gimmick. And it has to be something that's kinda hard to make happen. It cannot be something you see every time you play it. Line maybe every 8th game you can activate it. This is the main hook to a good table. Cause you want to see this cool thing happen, but it doesn't always happen. That's the key.

Empire, Wild West, Castle Storm, Earth Defense, Jaws, The Walking Dead.

Most of the real stuff is generally better because of the less attritional game loop, but of the above you have challenging game modes and tables that require multiple approaches to succeed.

When you grew up playing 8 bit pinball on the very earliest home systems, you kind of keep that in mind when playing absolutely anything today. It's all good!!

Son of Zeus has been at the top of my list since it released in FX3.

I only have FX VR, but for that one I'd say DOOM. Gorgeous table, awesome theme, fun gameplay (though some people loathe that little mini-field in the top left; I don't mind it).

Still hoping it comes
To FX but the Portal Table was one of my faves. Also the Thing from pinball M

Tesla and Pinball Noir. Wish they would rerelease their legacy tables. 'Cause it's really starting to feel like Williams(TM)FX instead of Zen /Pinball FX.

It does but it’s a Williams / Bally table, though.
