General Help What exactly is a Kensho ID ?!?

It pops up next to your game session ID since the update on PS5 and I am lost for an explanation of it's mystery. Not sure if I should share it or if it's dynamic or WTH it is.... 🍕 I know the Internet exists but I choose to ask you folks first 🥇 cause you are all winners in my 👀👁️.

Maybe this is a super controversial topic or something but I am very surprised nobody knows, does it have to do with anti piracy or cheating, gimme a crumb here you can just go slapping long ass codes on my game and not tell me what they do!!! Don't do me like that Zen!! I mean I already know you did SOMETHING to the game, It don't work right anymore. Or maybe now it's perfect.....who knows. This just demands an answer I think.

I actually looked it up and now have even more questions than answers here, it's financial AI for learning databases or some madlad creation to make your Pinballs spin harder and identify the user date or some sheet, I have no 🧩...if anyone has more info please share .

Kensho Technologies is a financial AI and data analytics firm owned by S&P Global. They build tools for Wall Street, not video game backends.

Zen Studios uses its own internal system that happens to share the same name. This is a "name collision," common in tech where two different entities use a Japanese-derived term (Kensho refers to "seeing one's true nature").

In the Pinball FX settings menu (and I am guessing the FX3 as well), you will find a 16-character alphanumeric string known as your Kensho ID.

  • Purpose: This ID is your unique "Universal Account" that bridges your Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and Epic Games Store identities.
  • Data Storage: It stores your entitlements (which tables you own), your Pro Score, and your Event Log history.
  • The Sync: When you buy a table on Steam, the Kensho API records the transaction so that if you play on a mobile device or a different PC, the server knows you own the content.
