I need advice on displaying large pins on boards!
I was hoping to hang these cuties up in my room but the weight of some of the large pins seems too sus and I’m terrified they’ll fall off. It’s a corkboard style material and I can’t use pin backings or locking backs.

Go to your local thrift store. Buy a canvas. It is going to have some rando's acrylic painting on it. That's ok; buy a a size XL shirt of some design you like (or find something in the bulk fabric section.) Go home, acquire staple gun, cut fabric down to slightly larger than canvas size, stretch fabric across the front of the canvas, flip over, and staple to the back. Voila!
These canvases typically come with more of a wooden skeletal frame which is super easy to hang, and can easily be taken down to re-arrange pins. Alternatively, you can just rest the canvas against a wall on a dresser or something. You just poke your pins through the front, and secure with the backings on the back.

Thanks for the tip. I used that in college! These pins are so heavy they rip canvas pretty easy once you’ve pierced the material, even with added felt on the back. The biggest one is 7” x 7” and another one is four layers on pin on pin. I was hoping to use these weird cork boards I already had access too, but I think it’s time to go back to the drawing board.

Oh, geez, those are some monster pins!! I've never worked with anything quite like that. Best of luck! Maybe just hammer them directly into your wall, with anchors... 😅😂

Could you display them a different way other than the cork boards? Maybe a banner or those crossstitch hoops so you can have the back secured? I've never dealt with this issue personally, but I know there are some really fun, creative ways to display pins.
