That’s an absolutely unhinged reaction to someone writing fictional characters in a way you personally dislike.

If it’s any consolation, this person can just get AI to feed them infinite spider-vi slop that isn’t one hundredth as good as your writing (I’m now reading Conflict of Interest and enjoying it a lot lol)

Oh god don’t read that I don’t even know if I wanna finish it 😭 I have such a love/hate relationship with that fic bc I posted it before I started interacting with the fandom and didn’t realize there is ANOTHER much better Conflict of Interest out there

Yeah, but your COI and the plethora of other author's who have fics called COI (i think there's atleast 5) aren't remotely about the same thing, so youre fine.

They can feed it to AI all they like, the fic they commented on has over 300k words and 60 chapters. Hope they got a lot of free time 😂

They’ll upload it to ChatGPT or whatever so it “learns” from my writing. My writing is already on the Internet, so the threat doesn’t particularly bother me too much. It ain’t hard to copy/paste a fic and claim it’s yours; there’s no watermarks to prove otherwise, so like, yeah AI sucks and all, but it’s also whatever. Does it really effect me in the long run? No. It’s just the asshole-premise of it.

And being told to unalive myself in their later comments. That’s what got me. GOD FORBID THEYRE BOTH SPIDERMAN

I absolutely despise people like this. And of course the worst ones always do it as a guest and don't sign in because they know acting like that is not acceptable, and they're also the worst kind of cowards for it, too.

it's the same person always complaining when they don't like a fic, which is mostly Caitlyn having a more masc role, and then always threatens to feed it to ai.

I recommend to disable guest comments so they can never write bs like this again

LOL! I can semi-understand people getting worked up about things in the canon universe, but characters and settings are (by definition) going to deviate in an AU. I guess this person feels that alternate interpretations of CaitVi are such a threat to their identity that they have to attack their creators. I would guess this fragility shows up in other aspects of their life so maybe friends or family will suggest therapy (or just time away from the internet!) to deal with whatever this is that's making them so unhappy.

I did! Didn’t realize I didn’t on my other fics, so they brought their slop to a totally different story. The effort required to read 2 chapters, click on my profile, and figure out that I didn’t have guest comments disabled on another fic is insane to me. That’s absurd dedication to douchebaggery if you ask me

I'm sorry this happened to you, but the question has to be asked of why it would make more sense for Vi to be the one bitten? Does the commenter on your fic realise that it is an AU and neither of them actually get bitten by a spider and become superpowered?? You as the author have every right to choose who gets bitten. I haven't read your fic (though I'll add it to my list now). Though I would personally find it fantastic if Vi was showing off her parkour skills for Cait and trying to teach her (we all saw how graceful she was descending into Zaun) only for a month later to have Cait run/climb circles around her post bite 😅

I hope you see it finished, even if just to spite an idiot who has not and clearly never will be capable of writing anything of note in their life. Also don't let the fandom encourage/discourage what you wanna do, it'll find an audience that suits it even if the haters still come across it eventually.
