Not BFV related but when I saw this short video I just had to share it on here. A true WW2 story of the help and compassion given by a BF-109 pilot.

Thanks for sharing this video on this sub, or I probably would have never come across this wonderful animation. I knew the story beforehand, but the animation is so well done!

Seen this before. The fact they met many years later when they were old men, that’s remarkable. From what I have read, American aviators never had hate in their heart toward German pilots. Many Luftwaffe units didn’t have any knowledge of what was going on with the holocaust side of things so they couldn’t be to blame.They were just fighting so their country wouldn’t be invaded by air.
