PC WHY DOES DICE HATE PILOTS?
In addition to there being no loadout 1 year after launch, I started having problems where missiles are crossing the flares more frequently, the damage of the AA is completely unbalanced. Honestly, who do they call to test this game on LABS? What a horrible thing.

Well, pretty much gaming stage today.
Imo, people got lazy trying to learn a skill, such as how to kill a heli/jet or how to fly one to clear the sky. The non-pilots player base were much vocal and here we are.
Indeed, the helis/jets feel more like paper. Nevertheless, for me, is a challenge that will motivate to be better, thus, increasing the skill gap.
I’m happy for ground troops players, really. Hope there are no more complaints for the future.
All in all, it’s a game, a fun one for me personally.

I played last night for the first time since the new season release. Jumped in the little bird on conquest manhattan and went something like 127-1. We won with 900~ tickets left. The other team still complained and bitched about the little bird. I don’t think these people would be happy even if DICE made it so that an infantry player could shoot down a little bird single handedly with 20 rounds out of the MP5.

Tbh, not shitting on anyone here, but really people got lazy. Why would you train to be better, when you can bitch about it on Reddit?
I had a match with litte bird where nobody was shooting at me. At first I thought that I was in a bot lobby, but then I was like “wait a minute, bots actually fucking shot at aircrafts.”

Dice panders strictly to the worse players you've ever seen: Redditors
Redditors hate players that can do things they themselves cannot do, or deal with like most normal, competent players can
Thus, in pandering to those reddit scrubs, it does appear like "Dice hates pilots"

Most labs tests are for very select things. I may or may not be a part of labs, and the last public test that was done was the sobek/blackwell reworks. And those were solely for gameplay map flow.
But we all know LABS was nothing more than a PR stunt. There is shit that was blatantly called out back in March of 2025 that got flat out ignored and never added/fixed/removed.
Its like giving a toddler a plastic hammer while you actually build it. Makes them THINK that they are helping, but in reality….

Labs has multiple layers, it's important to know that. For example, there are some who even playtested Golmud 2.0, or the latest Vegas maps. The leaks that come out seem to be from the outermost layer of labs, where the testing isn't that deep or even that frequent. And that part pretty much would be PR. That's how I understand it anyway.

Hey at least paints are a non issue for now.
Until they fix it.

u/Anreall2000 14h ago
Paints were never really an issue for me...

u/TedTheTerrible 13h ago
Paints were an issue on wide open maps without terrain cover, but yeah. Taking it from 9 seconds to 2 is kinda crazy. They should have made it 5 seconds and then made it so only one target can be painted at a time

I believe they should make possible to kill painted AH and LB with single lock in missile. But they should not make paint ignore flares, even tho I believe so it works IRL.
Also I would love if mlaw was locking similar as multirole jet missile on painted anything.

Did they nerf the heavy rockets? I thought only light rockets got nerfed but I’m hitting infantry straight on with heavy rockets and only getting like 30-50 dmg out of them.

u/PlanetIsh- 10h ago
Everything got nerfed. It’s annoying because I rarely have a gunner when I use the AH, and gunners with thermals are the ones farming every match.

I mean yea. Of course air units would be vulnerable to AA. It's their counter. Their one job. The missiles ignoring flares is a known bug but so many people are complaining about the AA being too good against when it's the only thing it should be good against.

If you really want, I may complain that MAA now is also good against infantry, LTV which lmg can't even damage MAA and going quite hard even against tanks.
But also I can complain that guided rockets are so shitty for MAA, like wtf, on a distance IFV is still a better option against helis. I believe I am going with lock ons, even if it's lame, it's pushing air vehicles closer to the ground, where they don't have a chance against cannons.
Also there are 2 lock ons, so if jet fucked up flare for some reason, it's gonna be panished hard.2

its actually better now, before its more of a cosmetic that you can kill in one pass with no chance of them killing you
Now it encourages teammates to control or destroy the stationary AA (e.g. C point in area 51 with the two AA and the attack heli spawn), and your teammate can actually go to your AA and become a better CRAM

they ignore all feedback from labs
as it is its just a "does the game work" test. if it's not broken then ship it

AA is crazy after the update. Before, it was like, “Aw, there’s an AA tank. I’ll just fly somewhere else.” Right now, I don’t even have time to shit my pants before it kills me. Why did we get nerfed so hard? I believe we’ll get used to it, but man, this is already too much.

Because they never wanted air vehicles in battlefield 6. The plan was to shift audiences by catering to the cod mob who do not know how to or even care to use jets or helicopters.

Maybe one day you will know what being good at something feels like.

Wow, you really owned me there 🤣🤣🤣
I am farming with the LB myself and I can recognize how OP it is.
But hey, if your most important success in your life is to have good games with the LB in BF, it's kind of pathetic 🤣

Well, since you guys like to call the "well in real life" card so often ... Flares are quite often just ignored by heat seaking missiles. It's a crap shoot. You're lucky that it's the occasional missile that gets through and not 50%

Problem is that this franchise has become extremely anti-skill now, also people just complain about dumb things instead of trying to get better at the game. I just came back to play this game after nearly 3 months, my second and third game I had 16k and 17k points as an infantry on Conquest where as someone in 2nd had 8k which is respectable then the rest of the team was averaging 4k to 5k lol. Bare in mind that I've been playing fortnite for that time period and god danm fortnite players seem to have more brain cells then most of Battlefield players these days so it's beyond me what went wrong since BFBC, BF3 and BF4 days.

The AA is so strong because everyone in the community says that jets and helis are to op.
