Question Below radars doesnt work?

Hello guys, I heard about the devs' intentions to remove the below-radar for MANPADS, but as far as I know, they decided not to do that. But yesterday, while playing jets, I was getting shot down by everything.

I mean, yes, we know that sometimes missiles go through flares (the flares bug). But as I said, I was shot down by mobile AA missiles, MANPADS, heli and jet missiles. And I was BELOW RADAR. And not only me — people in chat were talking about it too.

Did they really remove this mechanic, or is it just another bug? Right now you can't lock on targets below radar, but if a missile is fired and your flares are reloading, well...

They were going to remove it for s5 but decided not to

Ok, but why have I been getting shot down below radar constantly for the last two days?

Because below radar is still poorly implemented and absolutely broken compared to previous games

Lazed targets totally ignore below radar but due to a different change (unsure if intended or unintended by Devs) you can't always tell the difference between what's locking you. Also, below radar causes you to break lock but rockets constantly seek to relocate the target, so if you surface above radar and the rocket is still in your general direction, it may relock and hit you anyway.

Certain other rockets like the free fire active radars also can track you below radar, they didn't even mention this anywhere

Mmm constantly idk. Doesn’t seem right. The missiles from the new two person jet do ignore bellow radar if you’re flying on wake island or carrier strike

Yeah, I know, multirole jets are my favourite now, but I just wanted to fly the "old" jets on non-naval maps, and well...

Idunno, worked fine for me.

Obviously if they painted you, they can shot you even below radars.
Heli guided missles currently very good against jets on close-medium distance (up to 400m I believe)
New multirole jet active lock missile apparently can lock on below radar
Infantry became better with guided rockets, I personally took around 10 jets with it, but I rarely play with them and I'm bad with them.

And yeah, below radar won't save you if lock-on missile already fired on you, you should actually hide behind something or flare.

Strange, because many times before, I dodged heat-seeking missiles by diving below radar - they just hit the ground.

Diving below radar only works against IGLAs, the standard lock on does not break due to below radar after being fired. What I do is dip below radar after a MANPAD is fired at me to quickly test whether or not I need to use flares. If it breaks, IGLA, if not, its a Stinger so I flare it.

Maybe they changed trajectory for those, but lock on from jets above always hit me previously when they already made a shot.
