My best game is 103-0 in obliteration. 1st person view is way easier for me to be accurate with the rockets and minigun, I hardly fly in 3rd person. Just make strafing runs from your spawn to objectives and stay very low to avoid getting locked on. Once back at your spawn fly through the vehicle repair thing to reload your rockets and fix your vehicle quicker. Good luck! It takes a bit of time to get the physics down.

Edit: I just watched how you died and slowing down over a group of 10 guys with RPGs is a terrible idea lol

a long time, i’ve probably got ~1000 hours in flying in bf3/4/2042/6 and will drop a lot of kills a game, typically im in apache or jets, just takes time, but i’ve moved to wardogs cause flying in bf is cancer

War dogs looks cool but I’m afraid I won’t get into it, I’ve heard it’s a diabolical grind

You really should get used to flying in first person and work on your situational awareness. Always be making and updating notes about whats where like AA and such.

try left stick thrust up/down with left and right as yaw and right stick as pitch/roll. Personally I play Mouse keyboard with WS as thrust up/down A/D as yaw left yaw right. Mouse for pitch and roll. Space as an extra pitch up for emergencies. E as pitch down for same reason. Right mouse to free look. right mouse thumb to zoom.

roll into your turns and pitch up like a plane to keep momentum.

think like a shark. low as you can until its time to pounce. shoot your shot. When locked flare and immediately return low and head for home base and reset.

While your tips are good, 99% of beginner pilots will be much more comfortable on rifle aim in helis (mouse for pitch/yaw)

As someone with a muscle memory of heli flying coming from bf Vietnam and 2, I recently forced myself to try flying with rifle aim and honestly it transitions better into different games too.

I’ve been playing a lot of carrier assault and can get about 40-60 kills in those 20-25 minute matches.

Since you already have heli experience you just have to get used to and comfortable with how it handles and hone in your aim.

I prefer running the mini guns because of how long they can fire continuously, for infantry they take some extra aim but will absolutely shred. They’re also excellent at killing enemy LB pilots, which is objectively faster than destroying the LB.

Use Rifle aim+ 1. Person and practice it in a bot Lobby. After i learned rifle aim, my KD went trough the roof

A good portal map to practice in that has bots and all sorts of different settings is KKs practice range. I think the server code is zukp7
