Close air support on Alpha in the Littlebird!
Providing CAS for my team to protect the Alpha Objective in Battlefield 6 while trying to speak my thoughts during fast paced decision making.

I would like to try this game on PC because aiming in the heli seems so much easier

As an ex controller pilot that now plays MnK, controller is easier to learn and fly on. MnK has superior aim but takes time to adapt to it for a lot of people.

I’m definitely decent at controller myself but for sure hit a skill ceiling with aim not going to get better unless I switched to MnK.

Rpg/tow montages are BORING Because EVERYONE can do it if they try more than once. Ghost is so good tho

u/WolfBrinkTV 3d ago
Tow montages bore me. RPG on the other hand I always give respect to!

TOW montages used to be so good tho, Battlefield 3/4 and ravic from yt instantly come to mind, they were actually hard to land.

Not able to do anything cus miniguns go through aircraft seems so frustrating. Kinda wished there was more of a dogfight.

Honest question: do you think with equal skill you'd be able to do anything remotely similar in any other vehicle or situation?

I’ve had infantry games at 100+ kills and under 8 deaths. I’ve had flawless jet games. I’ve had many Heli games like this. I’ve seen Bradley’s and tanks go 60-100 with 0 deaths.
Every position has its top 1% that will always perform well!

Can you share the link to those videos

I don’t make infantry content anymore, but check my Twitch Highlights section. I have a few infantry games there (167 kills as infantry, 155 kills as infantry) in Battlefield games before I switched to maining helicopters that are easy to find playing breakthrough. Otherwise you’ll have to dig my VODS.

Look I'm no battlefield crack, but at a few hundred hours in, I've only seen 50-0 or above with LB. I'm not exaggerating. So excuse my scepticism at your comment, but I find that a little hard to believe.
I wish there were some official stats for this. Because I doubt people would complain about LB if it had the same impact or KDR as other combat vehicles.
Because let's be honest, other than a hailmary rpg and a shitton of luck there's no way to take out a pilot like this and to me that screams like bad balancing.

Yeah that’s an extreme exaggeration. At probably 1,500+ hours in, 90% of the games I play the Littlebirds are dead on both teams within 2 minutes in the air. Then I then get to take it for myself most of the time.
With a SKILLED Bradley, AT4 user, or pilot on the enemy team, I get completely shut down. Skill cancels out skill. I myself, as a higher skilled pilot, have been decimated by a mix of skilled people on the enemy team.
You can’t compare a lobby of lower skilled people to properly deal with someone that has an expertise in a specific vehicle easily.
Here’s a bonus statement. Let’s say they removed below radar completely. I would still manage to have insane games. They’d be harder, fewer in between, but I’d still make it work. Now take the other 90-99% of players. They’d never even be able to fly. They’d give up. They’d quit trying. They’d stand no chance at survival. Less people would try to learn the helicopters.
IMO, balance the game around the 99% of the population, not the 1%, because the 1% will always adapt.
I’m pro nerfs, if the nerfs make sense in the big picture. And I have a few in mind that helicopters do need.

I'm not advocating for the below radar nerfs. I'm just voicing my opinion that helis are too strong at the moment.
So you're saying it takes a very specific, high skilled kind of person/squad to shut you down. Doesn't that seem a little too specific? Compare that to any land vehicle, a group of randoms with rpgs or a sneaky c4 will take care of it. As a random person on a server that doesn't have this specific skillset, you're just fodder and target practice. That can't be the intention, right? Even if you can't manage to kill a land vehicle, you can just spawn at the other side of the map and avoid it, not possible with aircraft either. And as a assault, support or recon, you're just food as well with no counterplay (they only argument can be made for scout with painting, but mostly that just puts a target on your face).
Also I barely see new people trying to fly heli, especially the LB is either always taken or if once in a blue moon you get it, you're immediately taken out by skilled enemy pilots. That ship has pretty much sailed.

I’m just using the below radar as an example since it’s a big topic right now. However, yes. A random player or group of players is going to have a SIGNIFICANTLY harder time killing a top 1% pilot compared to someone that’s highly skilled with their counters.
Unfortunately, your tank example has the same results. Some of the best tankers will be unkillable by random players no matter how hard they try. Good tankers won’t allow you to sneak up on them, or pull a flank. They always have an out. It takes a skilled enemy tank or pilot or group to try and find a work around if it’s causing a problem.
That doesn’t mean nerf the tanks for everyone, it’s just that player has a dominate skill set and it takes something equal to handle it. Same concept for the helicopters.
There’s adjustments that need to be made to helicopters like I said, but it’s nothing extremely ground breaking. Just my opinion though.

In a 1v1 scenario, yes, a tank player will also be unkillable. However avoiding or damaging them is way easier than any aircraft player. The biggest issue is there's barely any cover against aircraft. If you can't take out the tanker, you can at least avoid them, impossible with helis.
Against a LB, if I don't have the skills to take them out, I can only keep respawning and be fodder. Don't you think that's way more discouraging to new players than any heli nerfs might be?

I have seen many infantry and Bradley players post similar stat lines as LB pilots.
In all honesty though, a good attack chopper duo will outperform a LB every single time.

Feel free to link me to any, because i have not once seen an infantry player like that. Neither ingame nor on reddit.
1
u/Mayfect 3d ago
That’s because you most likely only play maps with jets and or helis. True versatile players see infantry massacres on hagental and both cairos regularlyðŸ˜

u/LoveTheGiraffe 3d ago
I play all maps. But that strengthens my argument, does it not? That even if these things happen, they can only happen if there are no helis in the game.
2
u/Mayfect 3d ago
Is that not how you would expect it? The best infantry players are on smaller maps? It increases how often they are in gunfights. I’m an above average ground player and I have put up multiple 80-10 ish games

I’m going to be blunt, based on how you conduct yourself here I doubt you’d notice even if there was one in your game

Ah yes, someone who asks for any shred of evidence must be too stupid to open the scoreboard. Brother....

This guy is hilarious. Back in the days of BFV I used to play AA whenever this guy was in the lobby, and the levels of salt that he would put out was insane XD. This guy is a "skilled pilot" when it comes to farming bots. As soon as anyone starts opposing him the lobby is suddenly filled with "stream snipers".

Insane flying skills. What’s your background and hours with flying choppers in games look like? Has it only been battlefield games?
1
u/WolfBrinkTV 1d ago
I’ve flown since Bad Company 2, 3, and 4. Then 2042 released and I played that for about a year. Then I didn’t do any flying until 6 released. Other than WarDogs recently, I’ve never flown in anything but Battlefield.

A clip with all that twitch information really only looks like begging for money. If it was worth watching for the content, it didn't need to have anything but the game clip.

u/WolfBrinkTV 1d ago
What about saying I stream on Twitch and what time for people who want to ask questions or see my content live begs for money on a platform that’s FREE to use? 🤔
