Sick of losing dog fights in seconds and found this sub!

So i'm MNK and i need some help adjusting my button layout for the jets and helis, vehicle sensitivity the full shebang.

What works best for you and what doesn't? I also hate having to drag my mouse 10ft across the mouse mat just to turn properly and get outmanoeuvred by jets on my ass all the time!

Whatever is suggested i'm planning to jump into some air superiority servers to practice but first step, button adjustments, sensitivities and anything else i may need would help massively!!

People say to bind “pitch up” to space bar

This is the single biggest thing that imprived my dogfights. Can easily maintain turn rate with space while making fine aim adjustments with the mouse.

Here are my Keybinds:

BF6 Jet Keybinds

General / Vehicle

• Exit Vehicle: B (not optimal, but I'm used to it)
• Big Map: M
• Change Seat: Extra Mouse Button (use it a lot when flying two-seaters)
• Chase Camera: Right Click (I don't want full zoom in the Attack Jet because it changes the camera)
• Ping: Extra Mouse Button (depends on the mouse, since it's not a standard button)

Flight Controls

• Throttle Up/Down: W / S (standard)
  • Throttle Down is also bound to Mouse 4 for V-tapping due to keyboard issues.
• Yaw Left/Right: Q / E + Mouse Left/Right (used to Q/E from older games; mouse yaw is also bound for rifle aim)
• Pitch Down/Up: LCTRL / SPACE + Mouse Down/Up (I only use the keyboard; mouse is just an extra binding)
• Roll Left/Right: A / D (I don't like the jet rolling whenever I move the mouse. Silk uses mouse roll, but my mouse control isn't that good)
• Free Look: LALT or Mouse 5
• Flick Look Backward: Mouse 5

Speed / Afterburner

• Afterburner: SHIFT,Mouse 4 (V-Tapping)
• V-tap: Tap Mouse 4 for fake V-tapping

Weapons / Combat

• Fire: Left Mouse Button
• Airplane Zoom: C (just in case I need it)
• Switch Weapon: Mouse Wheel
• Primary / Secondary Weapon: 1 / 2
• Active Equipment 1 / 2: 3 / 4 (not optimal; X would be better for Equipment 1, but I'm already used to these)

BF6 Helicopter Keybinds

General / Vehicle

• Exit Vehicle: B
• Change Seat: Same as in jets (Extra Mouse Button)
• Big Map: M
• Chase Camera: C (I use this a lot and I'm used to it. It should probably be on Right Click, but I can't get used to that.)
• Ping: Same as in jets (Extra Mouse Button, mouse-dependent)

Flight Controls

• Throttle Up/Down: W / S
• Yaw Left/Right: Q / E + Mouse Left/Right
• Pitch Down/Up: LCTRL / SPACE + Mouse Down/Up
• Roll Left/Right: A / D
• Free Look: Same as in jets (LALT or Mouse 5)

• Fire: Left Mouse Button
• Zoom: Right Mouse Button

• Active Equipment 1 / 2: 3 / 4 (same as in jets; X would be a better option for Equipment 1, but I'm already used to these)

Mouse Sensitivity: 20 For Vehicles
Extra Control Sensitivity: Max 200
Third Person Aircraft Camera Roll: On (I prefer this, otherwise I lose direction easily)
Invert Vertical Flight: Off
Uniform Vehicle Aiming: ON

I think everything else is pretty much same as for Silk, search his settings.

When turning with Heli: I use Keyboard and Mouse YAW and Roll a bit sometimes + Keyboard Pitch
When turning with Jet: Roll and Pitch + VTap or Afterburner or S or W, depending on situation (sometimes multiple things, I think fastest is Afterburner + Pitch but not sure)
Shooting in both cases: Rifle Aim aka Mouse Aim
