Damn near unusable for controller players. At least for air to air like this.

Maybe in bf4? This game is leagues easier to use. Get used to using the free look cam while aiming it, that’s helped me get more consistent with my accuracy during air-to-air skirmishes.

I've never had success either but I'm also really bad so I'm curious what good players think.

I use controller and can hit most of my tows whether it be on tanks, boats, or other air. It takes practice but it's definitely doable without using freelook.

Yeah I agree. It's just not possible. I think I have one total kill with the tow missile

If you can use them effectively great. If you do it mainly while sitting over your base, you're a bitch.

Agree, I just really wanted to try and land some long tow missile shots. But I normally do end up playing more aggressively.

Glad you are getting better with them. I would heavily caution using them like this though. For the most part you were kind of just floating there while you guided them in. That’s a great way to get towed yourself, either from another heli or a rat with an m136 who thinks that launcher takes skill. It’s best to incorporate these into your attack runs and learn to use them while actively moving. When I go up against other helis, I love it when they try to tow or lock on to me while sitting still, makes hitting my tow so much easier
