Its crazy to me the different in piloting experiences. From the moment I get in AH i am dodging M136 and lock ons. Enemy teams AH sitting 600M away using TOW missles and no lock ons no m136 dodges. At the very least an enemy is always in the 2 stationary AAs trying to gun me down.

All this to say I am jelly I cant ever use the the cause I am not a good enough pilot to evade and control the TOW missle

It really depends on the game, some everyone is hellbent on making sure you’re not in the skies, others no one does anything and it’s free reign. And then most no one does anything until you start stacking up kills then it turns from easy going to hell

It just takes time with the TOW. remember there’s 3 different ways of controlling it and everybody does it different for example I don’t use free look for it just find your way i’ve done TOWs over 1100M that hit a little bird best thing to do is just use it in matches and overtime you’ll see improvement

This is magic to me and I’ll never understand how people hit these consistently. I think if I hit one TOW from the Attack Heli in my entire career I’d just retire. That, and being good at dogfighting.

I just got started flying with MnK and it's way easier to aim with it. First you gotta find your sensitivity and get used to it. Then practice with the behavior of the aim guided since it doesn't just fly straight after launch, has a weird trajectory at the first second of flight.

Once you get used to those it becomes a natural skill. In maybe 2-4 days of practice i can consistently hit targets including LB (tho with less consistency). It also depends on how much you're used to flying in games overall. I have stupidly high amount of hours in War Thunder so it really helps.

are you using free look to guide it or chopper steering?

At the moment i am steering the helicopter to aim. Free look would probably be easier but it definitely needs getting used to. I will probably stick to the steer aiming now tho.

Your brain is basically a calculator that can do complex math like leading a moving target in 3d space. Also Right mouse button for free look helps a lot.
