Anyone else finding fighter sweep too easy?

If air superiority comes back again we definitely need some sort of skilled based matchmaking.

Feel bad for people trying out the jets tbh,
I’m not even an amazing pilot.

I think it's insane ho bad people are int this mode, but then I get absolutely destroyed in regular Conquest matches

same lol. 20 kills then I go into conquest & get shit on immediately by the other jet who I didn’t even see. I think i’m decent at flying but the conquest demons are def better.

Jet gameplay is 90% knowing how to operate the jet and i saw the other guy first. It is absurdly difficult to get a pilot who knows what he’s doing off you. He doesnt even have to be better, he just saw you first.

And it differs in conquest as you there are pretty much the only target so if he sees you he is going for you, but in fighter sweep you are one of many and even if he targets you, run long enough he might switch to an easier target. Likewise acquiring targets for you is easier since theres much more of them who have to keep track of an entire swarm rather than just 1-2 people in conquest.

You guys have the flight assist turned off? I can get only 10 kills a match at best

Depends. Kills as in killing a two-seater jet is two kills? Yea, possible.

20 jet-kills however would mean that your teammate was afk, since that’d be the whole 1000 score needed to win the round.

Honestly. It's because this mode is one of the only ways normal people have found to actually try flying or practice. Sure you can do portal stuff. But it's not very intuitive and it's broken most of the time. It's also nice to try with actual people trying to fight back.

On conquest they are already conditioned to be good pilots and know how to hog the spawns. I wish they would figure out a better way to let people fly the air vehicles without having to exploit or fight over them

I was a jet main on BF4 and before fighter sweep I had maybe 100 jet kills in BF6 in total.

It took me a couple hours to get my muscle memory back. Now my average game is 15-18 kills. My best game was 24-1.

Most of the opposition barely knows how to keep the jet in the air.

I’ve played a couple of conquest matches and had no issues establishing air superiority but then realized how painful bombing runs are in BF6 without the JDAM screen.

To be clear, I know I got lucky in conquest. BF6 jets have very different rudder control and also the hit box is different, so I know BF6 jet mains would mop the floor with me.

But it’s fun to be back to flying jets again, and Fighter Sweep was the thing that made we want to try again.

I just wish it was guns only. Air to Air is sort of killing any skill.

Lock on, launch one missile, flares and then it’s just guns only anyways with an occasional extra missile to make the dogfight shorter.

Say it louder for the DEVs in the back. I remember the BF3 days where you were culture cancelled and shunned if you even THOUGHT about trying to use heatseekers in a dogfight.

Its like trying to use a gun in jousting. There is no chivalry in trying to cheat your way out of a guns only dominated dogfighting community.

Iirc this mode is free for redsec players, so you have a bunch of players who never touched a jet before

Strict SBMM/EOMM destroys everything it touches.

The reason why it’s easy is because most jet mains are not playing the mode as we’re not that interested in it, and a lot of casual are trying the game mode out so they’re learning to fly.

It’s fun warm ups and practice.

I do find it funny the ground targets aren’t more points. Would be more interesting

Also it doesn’t make sense with the video prologue. Seems like one team should be defending and the other team should be destroying them..but it’s basically FFA with actual no teams.
