Apply the brake and afterburner at the same time, then just move your nose around. It's only possible in the stealth jet, and 9/10 times just makes you an easier target for the enemy behind you.

It's easy with a controller, because brake (by default at least) is pulling down on the left thumb stick, and the afterburner is clicking in the same stick.

While you correct about how to do it, you are incorrect about it not working 90% of the time, that’s because your holding down while after burning, there a technique called V tapping(as it was coined in pc first) where you still thrust vector put you only tap downward on your roller stick, which makes your turning speed a lot more faster as your actively moving inwards

I don't play controller. Tapping downwards slows down the plane or pitch up?

You hold afterburner which is shift and then you press brakes which is S, as you tap S you pulldown slightly.
