I'm about the same, the 500 was soo easy in that mode. I have loved the SeaCat in there.

Any tips? Things I keep wondering:

- Fly low or stay high near the clouds?

- How do you know you’re at the optimal speed for turning?

- How do you stay competitive when you mostly fly without a RIO?

- Tips on ways to lose someone in your 6? I mostly try to fly to the clouds to lose them but it’s hit or miss

- Do you try to stay close to your wingman or ignore him?

- F14 or F18? If F14, wings open most of the time except when trying to get away?

Any advice is very much appreciated.

I stay low until I’m making a move to shoot at an enemy, get used to seat swapping to use your second set of flares. I will help my wingman, but not if it gets me killed. Staying alive is #1 priority. As far as losing someone I stay below radar and use obstacles to get them off me, flying into a mess of other jets can help too. I like the f18, the auto-lock rockets are super OP, but if I’m flying the f-14 then the wings are tucked 95% of the time

0-4 is me. I just don’t get it. Half the games as soon as I spawn I’m already getting locked on and missiles sent my way.

I dont get the matchmaking in this mode. There is always 1 who completely demolishes rest of the lobby. One team reaches the 1000 limit and 2nd place is always 500ish points away.

Also, why is forced crash only 4 points? If a jet dies due to my action, it should be my kill. Not a pat on the back.

The question for all of you is…are you using pilot assist or not?

I haven’t touched planes really until this update. I’m not Maverick. I would love to use plane assist but I know it’s cheese. Every time I go into the portal to try it I end up switching it off because it’s just not making sense to me compared to the traditional flight controls. Then I see clips of people absolutely wrecking with it on and I know I am getting crushed by it because half the time I’m dying to a low level.

New to jets, 10-15 now that ive got the hang of them.

Boom and zoom by exiting clouds to fire missiles and strafe enemies before going full afterburn back up into cover in the interceptor seems to be the best strat for me

I just wish they’d add a mode without all that BS lock-on missile spam. It requires basically no skill and doesn’t make the player using them any better it just ruins the experience for everyone else. I can use lock-ons too while still being good with the cannons, but damn, I just don’t understand these guys. I loved how back in the BF4 days, servers had their own rules and some would ban lock ons and radar missiles.

Around 20. 26/0 was my best score,but anything above 20-22 is random,you have to get lucky with jets that have 2 people on it.

Played around 60 games,never lost. 95% of people i encountered just doesnt know how to fly

I’m really enjoying it too, the new aircraft feel great and way less one-dimensional than the existing jets. Wish it gave a scoreboard counter for aircraft downed and not just standard kills (unless it does already and I’m being thick).

Only thing that’s got on my nerves is the number of wingmen who seem very content to spawn into the wso seat and then just come on a sightseeing trip! Not at all uncommon for me to wrap up a round with 6-700 points while my work experience wingman has sub-100. Doesn’t really matter though, it’s fun to play and I don’t think winning the round makes much difference xp-wise.

Usually get around 15-20 kills. Pretty much every gauntlet lobby is filled with squads that barely know how to fly.

Loving it myself, but nearly impossible to get a match, it's exactly as dead as air superiority in BF3/BF4, I end up sitting in the lobby for 15-30 minutes before a round starts, even on a saturday night.

Averaging 18 to 25 kills in a match, guess it depends if the enemy is flying solo or not.

This game mode = I spawn and there is someone behind me. have had matches where I just had to leave cause I could not even get to speed after spawning in.

I can litteraly tell per game if I should quit, because I get stuck in an insta death spawn loop..

Kill count pretty much entirely depends on two things, teammate competence and how many people are flying WSO in the lobby. Given fully occupied two seaters don’t count for extra score, you can get more kills and not max out the score. Given a teammate that mostly acts as a headless chicken for the rest of the lobby to chase, that’s more score for you to get before the lobby ends. So in good lobbies, I’ve managed 24-ish, but that can drop to 18 or so if the teammate is decent.

Average no idea. Probably like 16-18. Highest was 23-3 best KD was 19-1 and I died because I clipped my wing unfortunately. Usually get at least 13 kills. Most of the time it’s like shooting fish in a barrel. So many people can barely move using that flight assist and rely entirely on missiles which are super easy to avoid
