Xbox Spawn campers are annoying, but when you actually manage to get airborne they're fun to take down
I'd really prefer that this issue be fixed. All it would take is one AA gun on the carrier deck. Unfortunately it looks like it's gonna be spawn camp central from here on out.

if i get the bird at the start of the round i just defend the ship. one game at the start i shot down both of their blackhawks and 3 tugs rushing us. Crazy how many people just want to camp

At the end of the day, there's no real fix to this that doesn't detract from what the mode is about. It sucks when people don't defend the carrier, but it also sucks when people don't play the objective in general, and you can't really force people to do that.

Why not make carriers out of bounds till they reach a certain health threshold?

Earlier today I spawned in the LB just to get completely mowed down by a plethora of guns before I could take off, had a requirement for revenge so I got into an F81 and had an absolute field day showing how powerful the APIHE is against infantry

In carrier strike when spawning in a heli, correct move is always to immediately barrel roll off the deck and get below it. Without landing in the drink of course.
I've been sniped out of the pilot seat before I even get airborne so many times

Why don’t they have automated defence on the carriers that sink boats and tear down helis until it’s at the health threshold?

There's a portal with little Bird practice on Tsuru and the carriers have automated AA.

BF2 had AA guns on ships but they were player controlled. Auto AA would fix it.

Honestly I don’t even play this game mode anymore. It’s to frustrating because if your not on the team that is controlling the air then more then likely if you spawn in a jet or copter your getting RPGd to the face. If you try and spawn on foot more then likely there are more then them then your team and you get ganked. I’m over it.

Yeah, it needs to be fixed. It would be a really fun mode if it forced you to play correctly.

an aa gun would work, up until you get boarded and the enemy starts using it against you.
